Thank you to all of our participants, Local Leads, Navigators, and SMEs for another successful Space Apps Challenge! We are already looking forward to the next challenge on October 7-8, 2023. Mark your calendars!

In 2022, Space Apps welcomed over 31,500 registrants, across 162 countries and territories. Using open data from NASA and our 11 partner space agencies, they tackled 22 challenges and produced 3,094 projects.

In 2022, NASA collaborated with even more space agency partners to bring the largest annual global hackathon to communities around the world! This year, we were excited to welcome our Space Agency Partners: Australian Space Agency, Brazilian Space Agency, Canadian Space Agency, European Space Agency, Indian Space Research Organisation, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, Mexican Space Agency, National Space Activities Commission of Argentina, National Space Science Agency of Bahrain, Paraguayan Space Agency, South African National Space Agency.

Space Apps is managed by the Earth Science Division, Science Mission Directorate, at NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC. It is organized in collaboration with Booz Allen Hamilton, Mindgrub, SecondMuse, and the NASA Open Innovation Applied Sciences Program.
