Carrington Detector

High-Level Project Summary

We have made solar flare detector/predictor.it predicts solar weather using given data.The Carrington Event sparked a huge geomagnetic storm that wreaked havoc with technology. Earth fell silent as telegraph communications around the world failed. If a major space weather event like the Carrington Event of 1859 were to occur today, the impacts to society could be devastating.

Detailed Project Description

It predicts changes in the peak solar wind speed and informs us of cosmic dangers.

Our neural network learns this data and gives us Carrington weather predictions with probability. 

It can be run on many modern machines.

We hope to achieve better results and faster growing of our neural network.

Project was developed using Python language.

We used NASA's given data on NASA Resources, Canadian Space Agency (CSA), Brazilian Space Agency (AEB), South African National Space Agency (SANSA)

Hackathon Journey

Very fun.

I have gained experience in python, machine learning and creating a good work environment for my group. 

AI and solar flares seemed interesting of a subject, combined they are even greater project to work on.

We Organized group, developing algorithm on paper and then using python to write AI.

our setbacks were resolved together.
