High-Level Project Summary
This project is made as awareness to all of us about the dramatic change in the climatic conditions that impact our ecosystem. Here we speak about the need and causes of climate change and the need for a change among us, to give this world to our future generations.Today mass media plays the most important role in our lives so an awareness video will be the best thing to spread awareness. As more and more people watch our video they will get inspired and will try to bring a change, and hopefully one again brings peace to our world.

Detailed Project Description
Code Red is a documentary made by a group of Btech students from Baselios Mathews 2nd Collage of Engineering sasthamcotta. Through this, we tried to express our views on climate change as factual and scientific as possible. Apart from the effects and science behind climate change, we tried to incorporate and discuss more of our personal experiences and the challenges we faced during the floods of Kerala. As a resident of Kerala, the frequency, and intensity of floods are increasing at an alarming rate. We hope to show everyone the causes and reasons behind the miseries we are going through now. We believe we have done justice to our project and it is somewhat different compared to traditional documentaries.
We have used some external sites like pixels and Envato to download some of the stock videos used in this project.
We used MS PowerPoint to make the demo file and used software like DaVinci resolve to complete the project.bac
The Background music we used is taken from some popular albums like Blah Blah......Some of the video clippings are just random ones we found while scrolling through the Internet.
I don't think we were able to incorporate much about the topic in this short video as topics like Climate Change are very vast. We tried to pack much of the knowledge about Climate change in this short video, but we know we have missed much more.
climate change
climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperature and weather patterns.
It contains a change in average conditions such as rainfall and temperature in a region
over a long period of time. NASA scientists have observed Earth's surface is warming, and
many of the warmest years on the record happens in the past 20 years.
The earth is now about 1.1-degree celsius warmer than it was in the late
The 1800s. The last decade (2011-2020) was the warmest record. As a result of the temperature
raise, the ecosystems are on the road to their extinction. Only there 11 out of 54 existing
emperor penguin colonies are expected to survive this century in Antarctica. A huge number
of animal emperors are on the way to their destruction. It always includes sea level raise,
change in weather patterns like drought and flooding, and much more things that we depend
on and value(Water, energy, transportation, wildlife, agriculture, ecosystems, and human
health) are expected to the effects of a changing climate.
Since the industrial revolution in the 1800s, the global temperature has the global
temperature increased at a faster rate. By burning of fossil fuels and changing how we
can use land, human activities quickly become the leading cause of changes to our
climate. The greenhouse effect is also critical to our survival. The greenhouse effect
is heating up at a faster rate, we call it us "Enhanced greenhouse effect" and it's also
one of the main facts. Overall, human activity is warming our planet.
The climate crisis is already been solved. We already have the facts and solutions.
All we have to do is wake up and change...
Space Agency Data
We have tried to incorporate the amount of data provided to and make great use of them. All the data given to us was rather new to us but has made it to work. In this project, we used NASA’s climate website has resources about many aspects of climate science and climate change. Through this data, we too were able to realize the impact of climate change on us.
Hackathon Journey
This was a great experience for us. It felt good we were finally able to finish the project and submit it in front of an organization like NASA. Being here at M A collage was good interacting with our local lead, Sir Aravind, volunteers, and other teams. Seeing all these teams with bright heads and their ideas was great. We got to learn about Climate Change as we had to go through so much of NASA and other space agencies' data to create this project.
I would like this as an opportunity to thank our HOD Deniz sir and Deepa mam, our advisor for letting us attend this challenge and for grooming us for challenges like this. Then would also like to extend my sincere gratitude to MR ARAVIND our local lead for guiding us through this journey.
