High-Level Project Summary
In order to develop this video, an extensive field investigation was carried out with the guidance of the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Cundinamarca (CAR), where data related to the impact that climate change has generated in the Fúquene lagoon was obtained: derived from the increase of the temperatures that have drastically contributed to the desiccation of the lagoon, drought in the surrounding areas, thus increasing the probability of fires and preventing the growth of native flora, soil erosion, and heavy rains accompanied by floods. This project seeks to raise awareness in the population in order to preserve the most important water source in the region

Detailed Project Description
With our video we want to show the effects that the lagoon the Fúquene has had throughout history as consequences of climate change, which has caused desiccation, taking into account the problematic problem, this will be addressed through the design of strategies that allow to generate awareness caring for the environment in children, adolescents, youth and adults in the region through
A. Environmental education as a compulsory subject within the educational plans in the schools of the municipalities where the lagoon is located.
B. The creation of an interactive page for the community which provides information in real time related to:
1. the appearance and movement of the “invasive plant” bush
2. production, sale and distribution of compost derived from buchon
3. Information regarding the recovery work carried out by the CAR
4. Mailbox for complaints and surveillance of illegal dumps.
C. Workshops aimed at the inhabitants of the region related to the practices of sustainable agriculture.
D. The creation of an ecotourism program operated by the residents, in order to show the benefits that this can generate both economically and in environmental care, this program can have:
1. Water sports
2. Boat rides
3. promotion of handcrafted products made with reed
4. Artistic representations of the Muisca origin of the Fúquene lagoon
All of the above aims to raise awareness among the residents for the care, conservation and preservation of the Fúquene lagoon, with this not only the survival of the human species, fauna and flora will be prolonged, but it can also generate economic benefits transforming it into a sustainable ecotourism system for the region.

Hackathon Journey
It is the first time that we have participated in the Space Apps challenge, an enriching experience since it allowed us to learn about the problems of the Fúquene lagoon. our inspiratio was the hope of a better world where the next generations could count with a sostenible life. We where focus in create awareness of how affect us the effect of climate change in the lagoon. It was difficult but we could with any problem because we were always together. We would like to thank to the teacher marcela, teacher sergio, teacher rocio, teacher sandra, and the corporacion mejor futuro our familly for support us and the most important the teacher yesid that was the best motivation.
