Stop climate change!

High-Level Project Summary

Our team "Be more" have chosen this challenge because it's one of the biggest problem in our county, Tajikistan. We've developed an idea: We need to act and work together. NASA, as one of the leading climate observatories, can give us information and prepare for the future. Here an example: given that the climate has changed a lot in recent years in Tajikistan, glaciers began to melt, and this affected the Fedchenko glacier. Due to the melting of glaciers, many floods occur which lead to deadly consequences.

Detailed Project Description

This video shows how climate change can be dangerous for Tajikistan itself and the people in it. We want to motivate people to donate plastics, papers and other materials like these for recycling. This has the advantage that we use a lot of the planet's resources to create these materials, and if these materials are recycled, the resource consumption will be less which will reduce the work of production and thereby reduce the level of CO2 that leads to climate change. To create the project, we used a Canon camera, RODE microphones, the CapCut application.

Hackathon Journey

It was a fun, interesting, challenging and exciting event. This is my first time participating in this kind of event, and I am honored to be a part of all this and learned a lot of interesting things about the hackathon itself: that is, what it is and how it is carried out. During this time, I became close with my team. We

had a lot of disputes that we resolved, as well as ideas that helped to cope with the challenge. We chose the challenge "How does climate change affect you?" You may be asking "Why?". If you look at what is happening with our climate now and how it affects us, it was useful for me to conduct this hackathon because I learned a lot about climate change here. For example, the melting of the Fedchenko glacier which melted by two cubic meters (if the volume of the glacier itself is 144 cubic meters). My team and I found a solution: stopping climate change requires the participation of all people, only together can this problem be stopped. I want to thank American Space Dushanbe for this wonderful event, and also thanks to the mentors who supported us. At the end I want to add: let's have more such events!
