High-Level Project Summary
Climate change and its adverse effects have already made the world a worse place to live in. We in a team, have figured out some methods that can help deduce climate change (mostly global temperature rise) effectively. We have come up with different plans that can reduce production of different harmful gases.

Detailed Project Description
For the survival of insects, they depend on plants and crops (as there is overflow of insect, crops are consumed voraciously) which compels the farmers to use insecticides which directly leads to degrade the quality of soil. When crops/plants are destroyed people depend on artificial industry for consumption. Harmful gases produced from industry effects the environment and leads to climate change. Use of different chemicals as fertilizers in unscientific manner has also resulted in emission of different harmful chemicals. Not only that different harmful gases have also contributed maximum in global temperature increment and climate change. Ozone layer depletion, greenhouse effect, air pollution etc. are examples. Climate change has affected all the possible areas of humankind and other wildlife.
Hence, We the group members of BG-KSK group are working on climate change in a hope to find out some innovative ideas on tackling with climate change problems. Every data and figures are included in final project video. In this project description section, we are going to deal directly on minimizing harmful gases that are directly contributing on climate change. Not only that we are also going to deal with some ideas on mitigating rapid insects' outbreak and breeding.
- Minimizing Carbondioxide: The way to convert CO2 into carbon black is that the process involves capturing CO2 from ambient air by DAC (Direct Air Capture), via adsorption. In a microstructure reactor, the CO2 is then combined with renewable hydrogen to produce methane and water. The methane is then passed through a bubble reactor filled with liquid tin. In the ascending methane bubbles, pyrolysis takes places, breaking the methane down into hydrogen – which is fed back into methanation – and solid carbon in the form of a microgranular powder. The formed carbon black can be used as protective additives in plastics, paints and ink pigment.
- Minimizing Carbon monoxide to methanol: Carbon monoxide can be reduced in many different ways. First one is to oxidize it and form carbon-dioxide which can be minimized further by the previous methods. Secondly Carbon monoxide also can be treated with hydrogen at 300 atm/ 300 degree Celsius using Zinc oxide and Chromate as catalyst forming methanol, which is a laboratory agent. Methanol also can be used as an alternative for fueling cars and different motors replacing petroleum.
- Minimizing Sulphur dioxide to Sulfuric acid: Sulphur dioxide is other chemical which is a biproduct of different automobiles. SO2 can be minimized by dissolving it to water forming sulfurous acid which can further be oxidized to sulfuric acid which is a very powerful laboratory acid. The oxygen can be obtained from hydrolysis of water. The other bi product of hydrolysis (i.e., hydrogen) can be used in minimizing Carbon monoxide as discussed above.
- Minimizing insect outbreak for reducing crop destruction: The best way to do this is to kill the larvae stage using different oils that insulate the breeding place of insects and prevent them from breeding and developing.
Solution to Unwanted polluting activities of human being -
Human being can only overcome with the problem of polluting activities when they can make themself as conscious type of people. As we know the knowledge and implementing it in our life is two different things, using wisely and carefully by thinking about future generation is also great thing. Human being has not to think about to them only, they have to think about this our home Earth. They have to make their own knowledge into implementation work for not them for this Our homeland and for future generation too.

Hackathon Journey
NASA space apps challenge 2022, being organized in 8 places all over Nepal, provided a lot of opportunities to flourish we as well as many other lives through group work, team coordination and successful fellowship. Special thanks to NASO Nepal (non-profit organization) working all over Nepal to support and motivate for organizing this event. We all are grateful to NASA for launching hackathon as such that motivates us to always move forward.
