High-Level Project Summary
since the 1800s, human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to burning fossil fuels . Burning fossil fuels generates greenhouse gas emissions that act like a blanket wrapped around the Earth, trapping the sun's heat and raising temperatures. Human activities, such as burning fossil fuels and destroying rainforests have an increasing influence on the climate and the Earth's temperature, which has many effects on our environment and on us too as it causes many diseases and affects our mental and physical health. In this project we are talking about climate change effects and giving some tips to reduce its danger.

Description
Climate change refers to long - term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns . These shifts may be natural , but since the 1800s , human activities have been the main driver of climate change , primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels ( like coal , oil and gas ) , which produces heat trapping gases . But in this project we are talking about Global Warming which is the most dangerous aspect of climate change .There are many causes for global warming but our personal vehicles are a major cause of global warming. Collectively, cars and trucks account for nearly one-fifth of all US emissions, emitting around 24 pounds of carbon dioxide and other global-warming gases for every gallon of gas. About five pounds comes from the extraction, production, and delivery of the fuel, while the great bulk of heat-trapping emissions—more than 19 pounds per gallon—comes right out of a car’s tailpipe.Global warming endangers our health, jeopardizes our national security, and threatens other basic human needs. Some impacts—such as record high temperatures, rising seas, and severe flooding and droughts—are already increasingly common. We can stop Climate change together by reducing emissions of green house gases by reduce, reuse , repair , recycle our daily wastes like plastic which has a huge impact for Global Warming.....We hope that our project will benefit you and give you the necessary information on how to deal with climate change and reduce its causes and effects..

Hackathon Journey
Firstly, Shadan wrote a post on facebook group that said that she wanted a team for Nasa Space Apps Competition. So, we communicated with her to join her team. After that, we chose ‘’How does the Climate Change affect you’’ challenge as we suffer everyday from climate change effects. Then, Khadeja distributes the tasks on each us. Shadan was responsible for researching and following the news of the competition. Shaza and Sama were responsible for searching for the impacts of Climate Change. Khadeja’s task was collecting and organizing the information that the team collects, she also was responsible for the voice over of the video. Finally there was Mohamed the video maker and designer, who helped the other members in everything. There was one problem, which is that we found out the competition date too late, but we were able to overcome this problem by helping each other. We learned a lot of things including :working in one team, searching for new things and how to manage our time. We learned the value of our planet. NASA SPACE APPS is a great experience that changed our life and made us mindful for our planet….
