High-Level Project Summary
Climate change affects and will affect everyone! These changes happen as a result of our actions, but because they are long-term transformations, what we face today is a result of things that happened a few years ago and what we are doing today will directly impact our future generations. So we need to start thinking about our longer term existence, because our actions generate consequences! Even small actions generate impacts, so we must take care of the planet.

Climate change affects and will affect everyone! These changes happen as a result of our actions, but because they are long-term transformations, what we face today is a result of things that happened a few years ago and what we are doing today will directly impact our future generations. However, we must know that climate change does not happen only by human actions but can also be caused by natural processes.To give you an idea, the earth has warmed an average of 1.3°C compared to the pre-industrial climate, mainly due to the burning of coal, oil and gas. Global warming continues to increase at approximately 0.1°C every five years, studies by NASA and NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) show that the recorded temperature on Earth in 2018 was the fourth highest in the last 140 years .
According to information from the Brazilian Panel on Climate Change (PBMC), an increase in temperature and a reduction in rainfall is expected for the Midwest region of the country in the coming decades. The state of Mato Grosso is a world agricultural power, it is not possible to talk about it without mentioning Agro, since the sector is largely responsible for the state's economy. Is the climate a limiting factor, and does this make the agroecosystem vulnerable to its changes? The impacts on agribusiness in general, as small as they seem, have an impact on the entire chain, for example, changes in rainfall regimes can lead to: both the loss of soil quality, its characteristics and nutrients; regarding the weakening of plants, which will not be able to take advantage of the nutrients present in the soil. In addition, the changes can lead to the incidence of pests, as the effects of global warming also affect the behavior of populations of harmful organisms that cohabit in agricultural systems (Vázquez Moreno, 2013). These problems are not isolated!
The radical change in rainfall and temperature regimes compromises food security both locally and worldwide. With little supply of food for much demand, the price rises, thus directly impacting inflation, so this will result in fewer families having access to the basics for their food, not to mention the less favored families who will probably not be able to enjoy the right to have food. Linked to this, we have actions being taken by various bodies such as the United Nations (UN) that launched the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on September 25, 2015. During the plenary meeting of the United Nations Summit for Sustainable Development in New York, the so-called 2030 Agenda was formally adopted by the 193 UN Member States. The UN Global Compact has undertaken the mission of engaging the private sector, which must implement the 17 Goals and 169 targets by 2030. SDG number 13, entitled: Action against global climate change aims to Adopt urgent measures to combat climate change and its impacts. In addition, several other measures have been taken to mitigate the effect of climate change.

Hackathon Journey
Our journey at the Hackathon was very cool, we learned to use a program that makes animated videos, at first we thought we wouldn't make it, but after going wrong several times it finally worked, we did and we were very happy with the result. The only sad part is that we collected several testimonials from teenagers and children aged between 6 and 15 years old to validate how they feel about climate change, we thought it would be interesting to have these testimonials because these children and teenagers will be the people who will be directly impacted by our actions now.
