High-Level Project Summary

Our project aims to find and prevent fires in the Cerrado biome of our country, in addition to reaching and raising awareness of the population about the importance of preservation. We bring an intuitive website that contains crucial information about the mapping and prediction of these fires, data about this ecosystem that is so important, an ecosystem that sustains the biodiversity of our region.

Detailed Project Description

The website FireFinder predicts in real time the occurrence of fire in different biomes. This function happens with the help of a highly well structured algorithm using satelites database and other sources database to analyse frequency, topografy, tempeture, humidity, rainfall and history of fires in the region. The benefit is that it can avoid future nature disasters and the continuos crisis of climate change by predicting it.

With this coding project we hope to archieve global and national awareness towards Climate Change and it's effect in peoples lives.

We used it to collect factual informations to develop even further our algorithm and video pitch. This intensive search helped and inspired us to challenge ourselves and intensify our union bond.

Hackathon Journey

Participating in the challenge was an amazing and challenging experience at the same time. As we delve deeper into the ecological problems and inconsistencies that surround us and reflect on how they affect us in various areas of our lives, we were driven by the desire for change and the need for profound transformations in our worldview. We gather and value individual and group skills to overcome adversity, our union and effort was essential.
