High-Level Project Summary

We are sure that the best way to stop or reduce the effects due to climate change is to raise awareness about it, educating the new generations, so our video tells the story of a child who throws garbage in the street, completely ignoring the impact of this action on the environment, then an adult approaches him and explains that actions like that cause climate change, which affect our environment based on their own experiences.

Detailed Project Description

Good morning, we mention our table of honor, our judges and attendees in general, sending them a warm and affectionate greeting.

We are sure that the best way to stop or reduce the effects due to climate change, is to raise awareness about it, educating the new generations, for this our video tells the story of a child who throws garbage in the street, completely ignoring the impact of this action on the environment, then an adult approaches and explains that actions like that cause climate change, which affect our environment based on their own experiences.

YADELJ, is an initiative proposed by FOREVER UNITED, which focuses on educating and raising awareness in our new generations about the impact of climate change on our planet.

For this reason, YADELJ has proposed to implement the use of creative and easily accessible videos to initiate a change in these and the next generations.

In order to make this project possible, video platforms such as CANVA and Anireel were included.

We have used this website as a tool to guide us, giving us information regarding the consequences of climate change within our society.

Hackathon Journey

Working with Space Apps has been an incredible experience, very beautiful because we learned to solve different types of problems, but focusing only on how climate change affects, to solve the problems and how to give a solution.

What motivated us to implement this challenge was the change that has been experienced globally since it has been a serious problem for the present generations and what we want is to start fighting it together with future generations so that in the future we will have positive results.

In the first place, to develop this project we focused on how it affects our municipality in our daily life because as we know it is a problem that affects all the inhabitants since crops are part of our food in our daily life.

Some of the setbacks that we encountered during the project were the editing of the video, which did not allow us to continue editing. To solve this problem we researched in different sources of information as well as asking our mentors about possible solutions to our problem.

First of all we would like to thank the rector, all the event organizers and our mentors for helping us every time we had a problem.
