High-Level Project Summary

With what we did, we aimed to raise awareness among people to leave a better world to future generations, protect our world and maintain its livability.we observed closely and became conscious. If all people pay attention to these elements and take care of our world, we can leave a world full of natural beauties to the next generations, rather than livable disasters. If we do not take care of our world and engage in activities that will cause climate change, if we make our planet uninhabitable, our end will come.

Detailed Project Description

Our aim in our project was to raise awareness among people and find a global solution to climate change. By preparing a short film, we planned to create content that would draw attention to our subject and make a difference. We hoped to create a short film that would not bore people as much as reading an article, but would also attract curiosity and interest with images and auditory support. While doing this, we used “Alight Motion” and watched hundreds of videos on Youtube.

When the challenge's started, firstly, we read all the resources carefully and we discussed about them as a team. After that we used some of those information in our project. In some pages, we found some climate charts about places such as New York,Los Angeles and Houston. Also we learnt from some other pages, what is the results of climate change and why does it happen or affect us that much? As we read, Earth’s climate is now changing faster than at any point in the history of modern civilization, primarily as a result of human activities. We said it occurs because of human activities but on the other hand we found that humans also got affected by climate change in every field and it can cause some deadly results for human life. After we read those pages we felt sad but also we wondered what are scientists doing to solve this problem and learnt that they are sending satellites to the space to observe the incidents happening on the world. Also they are trying to make their employees aware of that problem. In addition, they are also looking for some new sustainable ideas to keep the world alive. So, we decided to use those informations in our project.

Hackathon Journey

the main purpose of our project is to increase awareness on the subject of climate change. we prepared a short movie, trailer for the future.

we learned a lot of things from the research that we made before making our subject certain. and the best idea that came to our minds while brainstorming was making a fictive trailer for the future. We used Alight Motion for editing the video, and we took lots of short clips from lots of different videos about this subject.
