We chose Raquira as our project because nobody really focuses in something small and surprisingly something small is considered as one of the most contaminated places in Colombia, which is why we decided to make a filter that allows us to control the air pollution and help them to have a better and healthier life.

Detailed Project Description
What exactly does it do?
We are seeking to make the population of Ráquira and the pottery industry aware of the negative health and environmental effects such as droughts, forest fires, respiratory diseases, etc. Caused by the use of kilns in the pottery industry that produce greenhouse gases such as co2 and other particles that are harmful to people
How does it work?
It seeks to articulate three work fronts that would contribute to the reduction of pollution and its effects, which would give a better quality of life to the population.
This will be done through education and awareness in the population, making them see how this problem affects them, in addition, a collection of resources will be made to finance the design and development of a filter for clay ovens, reducing the emissions that this normally produces.
Which has benefits?
An improvement in health conditions for both the inhabitants of the municipality and for workers in the pottery industry, in addition to a decrease in the rate of fires, droughts and temperature peaks in the town
What do you hope to achieve?
It is expected to obtain the approval of the government of Ráquira and corporations such as the CAR that verify the effectiveness of the implementation of these filters in the clay ovens.

How did your team resolve setbacks and challenges?
Our main challenge was the lack of time, this was overcome by dividing the work and increasing the hours of work proposed for the project.
