High-Level Project Summary
We, team Veritasium, have created a video which discusses the single biggest threat faced by humanity- Climate change- and how it is leading to a surge in diseases. The video outlines the effect of climate change on social and environmental determinants of health which include clean air, safe drinking water and other such resources. The video discusses genuine information about climate change and its negative impact on human health. The video reviews the increase in the risk of communicable diseases caused by this unfolding crisis. The video also explores numerous measures to counter the increased risk of infectious diseases due to climate changes.

Detailed Project Description
Climate change is impacting human health in a myriad of ways. Climate change is sabotaging many of the social determinants for good health, such as livelihoods, equality and access to health care and social support structures. The video explores how climate change has the potential to influence the earth's biological systems which in turn affects the overall existence of humans. The video also describes the health effects due to climate change, which results in the surge of vector-borne and water-borne diseases. This video reviews the rise in common and prevalent infectious diseases and their links to climate change. The video provides an overview of the various contingency plans to prevent and mitigate the health impacts of climate change. The video has been created with the aim of achieving a resolution to the ongoing problem of increased risk of diseases. The apps used for making the video are Animaker and Wevideo. The video was prepared using laptops.

Hackathon Journey
Our experience while working for the Space Apps challenge was surreal. It was exciting and fun. We learnt a lot. We learnt to create videos and acquired video editing skills of which previously we had no idea about. We gained an understanding of the problems faced by Earth due to climate changes. We came to know about the various complications of climate change especially about its effect on human health. We learnt about how it was leading to an increase in the risk of diseases. The recent health situation caused by Covid made us realize that this crisis required an immediate solution which inspired us to come together and create this video which contains some ideas which could be helpful in mitigating this calamity. We faced a lot of setbacks as we didn't know how to create videos and lacked content. However we overcame all the setbacks by learning how to create videos, collected information and data from various sites and several TED-x Talks. We sought help from our friends, classmates and our seniors who gave us valuable suggestions and advice. We would like to thank all who stood by us as we could not have completed this project without their guidance, patience and understanding.
