High-Level Project Summary
We, Team Beyond Infinity, working for the deaf, mute and blind people through "EduAssist" system. It is the combination of a website and a synchronized app. We are particularly aiming to provide a digitalized educational environment for them. Most of the deaf, the dumb and the blind do not receive a proper education due to their diverse educational process. EduAssist system solves all the problems. Audio-Visual content will facilitate their learning process. We have also applied Artificial Intelligence and machine learning for them which will actively engage them with the mainstream curriculum. It will link all of them to the current education at minimal cost using advanced technologies.

Detailed Project Description
The idea of inclusive education has brought about the much-needed share of equity in the approach for the education of the "disabled" by allowing them a level playing field to appropriately exhibit their diverse abilities, proving they are capable of learning and performing together, at par with their non-disabled classmates. Additionally, as a result of this change in strategy, it is now necessary and challenging to modify the instructional delivery methods or teaching tactics in inclusive classrooms in order to fairly meet the various learning needs of all students. There are not enough accessible educational tools, strategies, or technologies for individuals with disabilities that are aimed toward the blind, mute, and deaf. Due to their varied educational systems, lack of competence, greater expenses, educational environments, and other factors, the majority of the people living with hearing, speaking, and visual impairment do not acquire a proper education. In order to provide them with academic programs that would help them adapt to the contemporary and digitalized environment, we then aimed to connect them to current technologies. EduAssist system particularly aims to provide a comprehensive educational environment for those who are visually impaired and have hearing and speaking disabilities. The learning and assessment system of EduAssist can make the students’ learning process highly effective. The training materials are being designed and developed as per the standard and compliance requirements of the students with learning disabilities in the proposed system. Through this system, people with certain difficulties can get a complete educational environment. This paper is fully based on the current educational condition of specific disabled people. The findings show that the EduAssist system can be a potential component of the transition toward a complete online educational platform for deaf, mute, and blind individuals. Inside EduAssist system, there will be category wise user interface for the deaf, mute and blind users. For the deaf and mute, Audio-Visual learning materials which are translated into sign language will be available. The Normal Curriculum courses will attach the learners to the mainstream curriculum. Our software will include a voice navigation system for the blind. Recorded audio content will also be available for the blind students. By our assessment system, all individuals can justify their improvement in learning. We have used Artificial Intelligence and machine learning in our system for deaf and mute students’ assessments. It will help them both in education and communication. We have invented the digital version of Braille, a new technology to assist blind people in their learning. Our Digital Braille Input system will help them to learn and practice braille by using smartphones. These features of our system will make the educational process of deaf-mute and blind people easier, faster and effective. They will also adapt the existing technology very easily. It will link all of them to the current education at minimal cost using advanced technologies. Thus, the concept of "Education for All" will become a reality.
Space Agency Data
NASA is dedicated to enhancing its recruitment, promotion, and retention of qualified persons with disabilities by providing the information and resources necessary to support them and to accomplish the Agency’s mission. To implement the requirements of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, the Agency is committed to providing timely and effective reasonable accommodations to known physical or mental limitations of individuals. The general subpart(A) of section 508 defines the types of technology covered and set forth provisions that establish a minimum level of accessibility. The application section (1194.2) outlines the scope and coverage of the standards. In Subpart B the technical standards provide criteria specific to various types of technologies, including:
- software applications and operating systems,
- web-based information or applications,
- telecommunication products,
- video and multimedia products,
- self contained, closed products,
- desktop and portable computers.
NASA has made progress in achieving Federal goals for the employment of individuals with disabilities over the past three years. NASA exceeds the Federal goal for the employment of IWD and IWTD in grades GS-10 and below, is slightly below the goal for IWD in grades GS-11 and above, and is just above the goal for the employment of IWTD in grades GS-11 and above. Disable people can also help NASA in many different ways. Before they could send humans to space, the agency needed to better understand the effects of prolonged weightlessness on the human body. So, in the late 1950s, NASA and the U.S. Naval School of Aviation Medicine established a joint research program to study these effects and recruited 11 deaf men aged 25-48 from Gallaudet College (now Gallaudet University). Today, these men are known to history as the “Gallaudet Eleven".
Hackathon Journey
In the NASA apps challenge, we have learned how to find a problem and how we can solve it. We've also learned how to work as a team. Patience is very important in life- This is an important lesson we've learned from the challenge. Now we've the ability to take risk in any kind of situation. We have achieved the quality of doing hardworking. We have also learned many things about the universe with the help of NASA's data. Now we can identify a real life problem in a society & have the ability to solve it with a broader mind setup.
