Mangroves are also important to the ecosystem. Its dense roots help to: bind and form soils. reduce the speed of water flows and promote sediment deposits that reduce coastal erosion. The natural resources they offer are not only essential for animal and plant life, but also for the very survival of human beings. Carbon capture. Ecosystems are the planet's great carbon sinks. In other words, they are essential to the fight against climate change. We use:• Google earth engine platform• Sentinel 2 satellite images are used• The Random Forest algorithm of Machine Learning is used

Detailed Project Description
It is an application that allows to determine the loss of the mangrove in Ecuador, to establish policies to conserve this ecosystem, the Google Earth Engine platform was used, a tool in the cloud that allows processing satellite images quickly, the java script language was used to develop Machine Learning algorithms that carried out the classification of the vegetation cover, the Land trendr algorithm was also used to determine the trend of the mangar and to know the possible causes of its deforestation.

We had the inconvenience of the internet but we overcame that inconvenience by working overtime, otherwise a nice experience.
