High-Level Project Summary

The main objective of the proposed system is to create a seamless user-friendly virtual telepresence environments allowing people to have realtime, remote interactive participation in space research and exploration.Today, access to space is limited to robotic spacecraft and to only highly-trained individual participants who perform experiments on behalf of others. The main motto of our project is ,every person who like to explore/visualize the space can bring live to space by Xplora using Augmented reality.It will inspire the people around us to explore more about space and the technology behind it.Learn new things in cost-effective and lively manner.

Detailed Project Description

The main objective of the proposed system is to create a seamless user-friendly virtual telepresence environments allowing people to have realtime, remote interactive participation in space research and exploration.Today, access to space is limited to robotic spacecraft and to only highly-trained individual participants who perform experiments on behalf of others.The main motto of our project is ,every person who like to explore/visualize the space can bring live to space by Xplora using Augmented reality.


Augmented reality design allows us to pull the idea out of the screen and drop it into the real world at full scale. We're then able to walk around it, or walk within it, and get a far better feel for form,proportion and relationship to the environment. We can visualize in higher fidelity much earlier in the process, with a dramatically lower level of investment when compared to other forms of rapid prototyping.


Everybody like to visit space atleast once in their lifetime .But it is practically not possible.So,to make it possible we are here to develop an application in which we can feel the space with remote interactive participation through augmented reality.They can operate the applications by speaking or gesturing as well through augmented reality goggles.


The use of high definition holograms that show 3D schematics or diagrams of physical objects using augmented reality.To create a safer and more immersive virtual experience we use algorithms ARC[Alignment based Redirection Controller] and SLAM[Simultaneous location and Mapping].The programming language we use in augmented reality is C#.


It will inspire the people around us to explore more about space and the technology behind it.

Learn new things in cost-effective and lively manner.

It helps in blending the real world with simulated elements.

Data from National Aeronautics and Space Administration,other data from open source will be taken for future analysis.

Hackathon Journey

This hackathon gave us good experience .It helped us lot to know about the space technology.We learnt lot of new things about space exploration.It inspired us to carry forward our idea to next level.Thanking the team of NASA and SRM university for giving us this wonderful and memorable chance.
