High-Level Project Summary
Parker Solar Probe was launched into space on August 12, 2018, but not many people know its mission and the data it provides to NASA. Our challenge is to create an interactive tool to improve public knowledge about the spacecraft that is currently exploring the Sun. From a printed poster, we developed an app with Augmented Reality properties to scan and display the 3D models of the Sun, Parker Solar Probe and the Earth in the heliosphere. Provided on the app is also a Space Weather Forecast that has been extracted from NASA and the display of the Sun's corona on daily basis.

Detailed Project Description
First Visit to a Star is targeted at kids. It is an app that is equipped with Augmented Reality(AR) technology to give awareness of how the Parker Solar Probe revolved around the Sun and acquired data in the heliosphere. Our project involves the creation of a poster and an app. The app navigates into 3 components which are:
- Space Weather Forecast - consisted of data from Space Weather Prediction Center and Solar Dynamics Observatory
- Poster download
- AR Scanner - AR scanner is used on the targeted image on the Poster and displays 3D models of the Sun, Parker Solar Probe and the Earth.

Space Agency Data
Space Weather Prediction Center - used the Planetary K-index to show the magnitude of geomagnetic storms that can affect the electrical power grid, spacecraft operations, users of radio signals and aurora observers.
Solar Dynamics Observatory - the daily image of the Sun
Hackathon Journey
We were ecstatic because it is our first hackathon. We learned how to use Figma for the first time. After viewing every challenge, we find that Creative Data Display with the Parker Solar Probe is the most interesting. We were fascinated by how aurora was formed.
We would like to thank Sarawak Space App for giving us this opportunity. Also, TEGAS Digital Innovation Hub for providing us workspace for these 2 days.
