High-Level Project Summary
We developed a system to provide a solution to the modern-day firing problem by using an automatic and app control system with an integrated data management system to link with NASA Fire Information For Resource Management System (FIRMS). It solved the firing problem automatically by using a microcontroller and IoT-based app control system. It also helps to decide the actions for fire controlling and human safety with real-time app data display. It also allows seeing the real-time fire data and data of toxic gasses which are stored and could be used for further investigation and integration with NASA satellite data for better reliability and usefulness of NASA Earth Data Analysis.

Detailed Project Description
Automation and information play an important role in this modern era. We developed a new automatic method of fire detection, notification, and suppression system by using an automatic and app control system with an integrated data management system to link with NASA Fire Information For Resource Management (FIRMS). It solved the firing problem automatically by using a microcontroller and app control system.
Here we used a three-stage fire protection system for better performance and effectiveness that could be monitored by mobile apps. In the first stage, the smoke detector will detect smoke and have an alarm for the adjacent room. If the fire continues to spread then the second stage sensor will detect fire by IR-based flame sensors and gas sensors to measure the concentration of different gasses. In the second stage alerting and notification systems will be activated. In this stage, an automatic fire suppression system will be activated. Water or foam will be sprayed as per the situation requirements automatically. Other safety measures like electricity and gas supply will be turned off automatically and emergency exit gates will be opened. If the fire continues to spread our system will detect it as the third step. In this stage, a recorded phone call and text message with the location and floor of the incident will be delivered to the fire service and top management to take immediate action. Mobile apps will deliver real-time updates on the fire condition. The temperature of the fire detected area and detected gas type that will help in decision making. This app will store fire and gas data and it is linked with the NASA fire data system. One can see real-time satellite data. Further improvement can make it possible to integrate with NASA satellite data for better reliability and usefulness of NASA Earth Data Analysis.
We used Arduino IDE software for programming and the programming language was Arduino Programming to make an automated control system.
We used App Java language for app development.

Space Agency Data
We used NASA Fire Information For Resource Management (FIRMS) data. It shows the thermal anomaly in the map of the whole world in real time or near real time. It also stores data from previous incidents.
We used a recent firing incident at BM Depot, Chittagong, BD on the day of 6th July. We got the exact location and other weather informations.
That drives us to think and make it more reliable and easy to access for better data management and usefulness for users and investigation or research.
Hackathon Journey
NASA space app challenge was a very interesting journey for all of us. We learnt about project planning, execution and using data for a better world. We also learn about teamwork. It is really exciting when anyone has access to satellite data and NASA’s data and has given a chance to work for the world.
We learnt about the existing condition of resources and tried to develop a system to improve fire safety and data management for NASA.
Our challenge was to make a control system and manage data. We used coding, sensors, micro controller and app development to convert our idea to a physical project. We want to thank all of our well wishers and NASA for giving us this opportunity.
