High-Level Project Summary
The main idea focuses on the implementation of 4 Savonious wind-turbines that could provide the energy needed in the already existent AREE Rover prototype, created by NASA, which demands 233W/h to function. Our economic strategy is using a AREE Rovers function mechanically, therefore we decrease the use of electronic energy and only reserve it for communication and data transmission, resulting on a Rover whose energy demands could be lowered. Also, using NASA’s newest alloy called GRX-810 who’s proven to withstand Venu’s extreme conditions.

Detailed Project Description
Venus is known for being the Earths misunderstood sister among scientists since they appear to be so alike yet so different from each other. They have around the same size and position in the solar system but differ from their evolution path. Venus life conditions are nothing like Earths, with a much thicker atmosphere, skyrocketed temperatures reaching 460°C, pressure around 93 bars and sulfuric clouds, this makes Venus evolution so intriguing and interesting to investigate.
Several exploration missions have taken place since 1960 but failed to last more than 2 hours in Venus surface, there is a need for the creation of long-lasting energy systems that could withstand these hostile conditions for rovers to collect data and information about Venus.
Our idea is to go on a different route, instead of searching for innovations in batteries, why not take advantage of Venus conditions and turn them into an opportunity to create energy for the rover to function using the 0.3 m/s to 0.9m/s winds that take place in Venus surface. This could work with the help of Savonious wind-turbins implemented inf the rover.

Hackathon Journey
We believe this was a multidisciplinary challenging experience for our mind, body and skills. We feel our knowledgde about Venus and overall space enrinched by all of the research we needed to do in order to complete our project in which we found a lot of interesting data and facts we didnt know before. Our approach consisted in creating team whose specific area is ingenieer related with chemistry, petroleom and reneweable energy.
Our setbacks were lack of information related to a material data base to build the wint-turbines.
