Suggesitons on how to use surface conditions on venus to power batteries of equipent on Venus

High-Level Project Summary

Surface conditions on Venus are no stranger by now, they present problems that arguably put pins in many expeditions such as the scalding heat and wind conditions. This entry is going to be about how we can harness the geographical phenomenon of Venus to our advantage to provide long term energy supplies to future rover expeditions or just flight expeditions if that’s what’s more achievable

Detailed Project Description

Surface conditions on Venus are no stranger by now, they present problems that arguably put pins in many expeditions such as the scalding heat and wind conditions. This entry is going to be about how we can harness the geographical phenomenon of Venus to our advantage to provide long-term energy supplies to future rover expeditions or just flight expeditions if that’s what’s more achievable. This includes harnessing Venus’s wind using upcoming technologies on wind energy, thermoelectric generators of different grades to provide either short bursts of reserve power or long term, harnessing the abundance of supercritical CO2 to recharge batteries as well or as a quick drive-by recharge. There will also be higher altitude turbines that might be able to act as mobile charge stations for the explorer which can be navigated via satellite tracking. I mostly used google Dorking to find reliable articles since I value quality over quantity.

Space Agency Data

  • Nasa's information on the surface conditions on Venus

Hackathon Journey

I chose to do this since I love researching technologies that I might not have a full grasp on as It piques my curiosity, it also falls into line with my techniques on info harvesting which I enjoy and do in my free time as a hobby. There were many challenges in finding reliable information on portable sCO2 energy generators but after constant hours of Dorking i was able to find a source and verify that its information was genuine.
