High-Level Project Summary
We have studied how InSAR and the data filtering algorithm work. It is planned to popularize this direction in the youth scientific communities of the CIS countries. A portable mission control center has been developed, which will allow receiving signals from all Earth remote sensing satellites. Work was carried out on the study of SAR data processing technologies, in general, using the example of meteorological satellites. We have developed a nanosatellite for remote sensing of the earth, which will allow us to detect forest fires and build a three-dimensional picture of the Earth from space.

Detailed Project Description
The project popularizes the topic of InSAR, since this topic is quite promising and is a new section of the discipline "digital signal processing", helps to conduct geological exploration and discover mineral deposits, which is actively used by oil and gas companies.
The satellite sends a microwave pulse and listens to the reflected signal, this cycle repeats, and the two signals are compared by phase shifts.
Remote sensing of the earth allows you to get information about the surface, both at night and through clouds and oceans.
Software such as Python, Matlab, CUDA Toolkit, WXtoImage, Google Earth, SDR and Orbitron were used.
Space Agency Data
- EARTHDATA NASA - Research of remote sensing satellites
- ALOS satellites (JAXA) - Downloaded data from Japanese remote sensing satellites.
- InSAR - We have considered the difference between InSAR and DInSAR.
- ARIA SHARE NASA - Downloaded remote sensing data
- JPL NASA - We studied the principles of InSAR operation through lectures.
Hackathon Journey
Many thanks to Nilufar for organizing the hackathon in Tajikistan and we are grateful to the mentors and coordinators of the hackathon in Dushanbe.
This task required too much time from us to search for data with which we could start working directly, but, unfortunately, those data links from the hackathon lead to very complex data formats and require working with Linux at a very advanced level. This challenge is intended for people with a PhD degree.
