Our goal is to visualize Jupiter in new and creative ways, The first part involved building a Jupiter model utilizing robotics building tools to visualize the different bands on the planet's atmosphere. The second part was a fashion show which showcases the beautiful and varied appearances of Jupiter, superimposed on our gowns utilizing green screen technology. Thus we are able to display the Junocam images in new and creative ways. With the world so divided, we hope to shift peoples' perspective and view all of us as united in trying to unlock the mysteries of space.

We downloaded several raw images from the Junocam offical website. Here is the link.

We are a group of girls aged 9 and 10. We learned about this challenge from a local STEM after school - Magikid Robotics Lab. One of the moms in the group led the project, and we started our preparations this past Aug. We held team meetings once a week to share the knowledge we learned during the week, and our team leader assigned more tasks to each member for the following week. Before the final challenge was released, we brainstormed every other day in an online chat group. Our ideas ranged from video game developing, selling NFT to raise funds for NASA, wall art auto design and baking a cake with Jupiter's surface. Due to the limits of our knowledge of technology, we eventually decided to tackle the challenge with an artistic perspective. All the members in our group are female so when someone mentioned crafts and a fashion show, everybody cheered. One of our team members learned robotics last year so we built a Jupiter Globe with VEX IQ robot parts. We learned how the gear system worked. Then we applied green screen movie technology to our fashion designs. This part was quite tricky since we needed to do two layers of green screen, one layer of replacing and a second layer of cutout. It took us many days to test out different apps.
We love the NASA Space Apps Challenge. Even though we are not able to solve any real world science or technology problems at our age, we still want to contribute our imagination and passion into the mission of exploring space.
We are very grateful for our parents. None of them are engineers or scientists, but they were great role models for us, showing us that they are life long learners and good team players. They helped us a lot in doing research and managing the whole project.
We also want to say thanks to Magikid Robotics Lab and HLC Newlook Costume Designs. Magikid provided information and training on robotics and film editing. They also let us use their original music to avoid any copyright issues. The HLC Newlook shop owners generously let us borrow their costumes, fabric and a film room.

While NASA’s space probe Juno orbits the planet Jupiter and its moons, its visible-light camera, JunoCam, captures dazzling views of the Jovian system in spectacular detail. Your challenge is to create innovative ways to process JunoCam raw images for scientific, artistic, or other fun purposes.
