High-Level Project Summary
We choose this challenge because we had an idea of how to do it and how to solve the problem. We use a program called SOLIDWORKS and on the base of this, we started to design all kinds of tools and furniture for the habitat on Mars. We developed 20+ tools and furniture to solve the problem of living in mars, with the help of 3 different 3D printers we achieved a suitable environment for human activity.

Detailed Project Description
The team decided to carry out the development of this challenge because it is considered one of the most important things when continuing with research that helps us to better understand the behavior of our universe and all the things in it. For this, you need to live on one of the planets for a certain time to make observations, practices, etc. This challenge consists of developing prototypes of some furniture, tools, and everything that a person would need to be able to carry out a certain mission. For this, we take into account that we must do all the necessary things to be able to carry out their daily activities, and also to be able to work effectively. What we hope to achieve is to be able to design and manufacture each one of the things necessary to live in that place, so that, if at any time you decide to undertake this mission, one is already prepared for what one has to do. once being there, or at least have an idea of how to do it.
We think that is important for the explorers to feel confidence and comfortable on the space station where they’re going to “live” for some time and also we have as a goal to help the explorers to solve some problems that they can face during the mission through the different tools that we designed.
Development and Methodology
In a few words, as we just mentioned, we are going to use a program to design the tools and furniture taking into account the requested measures and the type of material. The intention is to create resources for easy living in the space station and also for the 3D printers to print the different tools that we designed with the right measures and the type of material.
The steps to follow are:
1) Find out what kind of mission it will be and what is needed to carry it out
2) Make a list of the tools that are going to be used for said project
3) Make a list of the elementary things that a person needs to carry out their daily tasks (furniture, personal hygiene items, kitchen utensils, etc.)
4) Carry out the respective design of the tools in the software
5) Prepare the printers
6) Carry out the printing of the samples.
