High-Level Project Summary
Humans are going to be a multiplanetary species soon. To make this happen NASA is trying to deploy human astronauts to Mars with the intention of creating a permanent human habitable outpost on Mars in order to build habitat on Mars we have been provided with three 3D printers having different printing capabilities. In my own opinion the necessities that I came out with are : Ladder stool, Cutlery card , Retractable basket , Back clip and Peg clip. These were the necessities that I was able to finish designing in this short span of time and I will keep adding more items in future to my design list.

Detailed Project Description
The significance of this challenges to provide proper life sustaining solution on Mars to develop new some new technologies to enhance the experience to encourage space tourism in future once the researchers are done with their job and we can have easy interplanetary travel and finally in distant future to perhaps facilitate space mining operation on other planets including Mars to sustain life on Mars we need to first go through some basic steps and acquire basic technologies. Let’s understand the objects that I told about to my personal solution for the immediate term of this challenge is basically to design some compact furniture because we are all known to the housing concept comes with comes in with necessity of having furniture and some basic objects that we are going to use in day to day life . So this furniture I have set up 2 goals there should be compact easy to fabricate on have simplistic designs . The first thing I am going to include is the latest. It is basically a stool that can be expanded using the integrated hinge into a ladder that would be twice the height of the stool and as an added to the future it would be easy to fabricate and compact store and design. Also I’m planning to fabricate this in plastic as we have plastic metal and concrete as printing items as metal is rare so I am using plastic so also it can be printed in concrete for outdoor use . Next in our list is the card cutlery set of cutlery consisting our spoon or fork and knife which are the objects of daily used it is easy to fabricate. A special design is given to the spoon to hold a significant amount of liquid easy to clean and is recyclable. It is made out of plastic 3D printer. Next is Retractable Basket. Since we are going to the new place carrying things here and there would be an absolute necessity of this basket. It has a high capacity and rigid frame and compact design so basically it can remain intact to flat surface and there is a requirement of the minimal amount of space and expand into a basket when required. It can printed both through plastic 3D printer as well as metal 3D printer. A backflip is necessary when the items are as per to my opinion as the researchers could carry food and there would be need of clip to seal the packet. It is easy to print and it’s strong yet flexible to seal the bag and again and again. It can be printed through the combination of plastic and metal 3D printer. Finally is the Peg clip. So, in our day to day life we might need to hold some pieces of documentation or flat surface together. It is multi functional tool that can fulfil this exact purpose. It can be used on clothline too. It can printed through plastic and metal 3D printer.

I had a wonderful experience. I got to learn various concepts of designing furniture. I got a innovative mind. My mentor was a decent and helpful one. He worked with me till 12 am. He was flexible with my schedule. Pick up my phone call without any kind of annoyance. Inspired me to work on with my project. His approach and way of teaching spellbounded me. A person so humble I can never forget my Mentor , Mr. Anirban Dutta. Without participation I would never have realised such universal facts.
It made me think to next level.
