Global Nominee

UNIQ3D.IO

High-Level Project Summary

I'm making 3D models of the various necessities that I think would be required by the astronaut when he/she is living for 1 year on Mars. Along with the solution for this challenge, I am also aiming to provide varieties of 3D models as assets to game devs, VR environment creators, and other 3D designers, in the form of a website called UNIQ3D.io where people can interact with the 3D experts and can get ideas or even use these high-quality designs royalty-free and free of cost in their various projects. Not only that, but they can also order custom model designing which would be a paid one.

Detailed Project Description

Designs:

  1. Resting place with storage
  2. Compact table - chair
  3. Rover wheel
  4. Cup and Plate
  5. Games - a basketball which later can be strung up to detect Martian seismic activities
  6. Retractable latrine
  7. Pixel lighting - gives of NASA's logo when lighted
  8. Tools

All the designs are:

  1. Very less space-consuming,
  2. Lightweight
  3. Easy to transport
  4. Easy to use.

My designs are low space consuming and have some more beneficial attributes that make them more usable in the future when a Martian manned mission would be launched and my designs would help the astronauts cope with their small living space.

Apart from that, I also wanted to provide 3D models for use as assets to various game devs, VR environment creators, 3D artists and enthusiasts, etc. in the form of a website called UNIQ3D.IO. It would be a community-based website where people can post their designs and models and others can use them. Along with that, we will work on individual client projects which would be paid, plus provide some royalty-free designs free of cost to indie devs.

Hackathon Journey

I am very privileged to be a part of NASA's SpaceAppsChallenge 2022. The interactive sessions, the masterclasses with some of the best people in the sector, the discussions and all were very thrilling.

I am very much fond of space technology and 3D designing. This led me to choose this challenge.

The level of guidance given by mentors and speakers helped me to gain more knowledge about how to make my product more scalable.
