High-Level Project Summary
What did you develop? We developed some prototype designs of things to be printed when we arrive to Mars. How does it "solve" the challenge? With the prototypes ready, the astronaut can print directly when they arrive to Mars. Why is it important? This is important because humanity must continue expanding beyond Earth.

Detailed Project Description
What exactly does it do?
These files are STL and can be directly plugged into a 3D printer to be printed.
How does it work?
The designs can be shared on a flash drive or uploaded to the printer directly before leaving Earth.
What benefits does it have?
The benefits are that astronauts will not need to carry any of these items with them to Mars, they can just print them.
What do you hope to achieve?
We hope the astronauts will use at least one of our designs.
What tools, coding languages, hardware, or software did you use to develop your project?
We used TinkerCad to design the items, and we would have used a MakerBot 3D printer to print some samples if time allowed.

Hackathon Journey
What did you learn?
I learned that team work is very important to completing a project.
What inspired your team to choose this challenge?
We have always wanted to use a 3D printer in school, so this was our opportunity.
What was your approach to developing this project?
At first we were going to draw the items out on paper and then move them to the computer, but our teacher suggested we started directly designing because of the time limit.
How did your team resolve setbacks and challenges?
We overcame the time limit by screenshooting our prints and sharing them on our slideshow.
Is there anyone you'd like to thank and why?
Our teachers and NASA
