Chronos Investigation Team has received the following awards and nominations. Way to go!

Global Nominee

Moonquake

High-Level Project Summary

The application uses a mathematical algorithm that allows the simulation of a lunar earthquake in real time, using AR and a textured model of the lunar surface, the user can observe the telluric movements in different scales, as well as allowing the user to live the experience in person, being able to enter to observe the simulation in real time of a moonquake.

Detailed Project Description

The application allows to observe in real time the points of lunar contraction, in such a way that it allows to simulate the vibrations produced by the NASA sensors, for that reason it was made:

A mathematical algorithm that takes the data generated by five of the sensors, this data is filtered and saved.

Subsequently, a 2D model is generated showing the lunar contraction points over the entire lunar space.

In addition, a real vibration simulation of what it would be like to be present at a moonquake was added.

For this purpose it was used:

  • Unity
  • ArFoundation
  • C#
  • ARCore

Hackathon Journey

We travelled from the city of Ambato, it was a tiring 6 hour journey, the first day of the event there were internet failures so we had to develop with our own network, after that the event was good but the management was bad.
