High-Level Project Summary

A good summary of my project . This is a web app designed for the easy accessibility of the moonquakes data from the earth's only moon. I developed a 3D easy map accessibility of the moonquakes data since the apollo 11 mission over 50 years ago. The challenge of this project was solved because people can now easily have a cool 3d representation of the moonquakes in an easy and interactable way. The project that i developed is very important! because it can teach and enlighten other that moonquake exist and there is even a better way of view it and it's data from over 50 years ago. If i'm given the chance and data i can create more interesting features to my Lunar App...

Detailed Project Description

While working on this project i imagined creating something better than what I actually made. This was due to the fact that Time and some data was limited to me. Like data from DARTS (https://data.darts.isas.jaxa.jp/pub/apollo/pse/software/alsep_tools/ etc. ) was prevented from us by unknow sources but i think with the little data and time available to me i tried creating something nice. I made a 3d Lunar globe of our moon that has dots with different colors representing different events on the moon. You can click on the dots and get the seismic graphical reading of the event when clicked upon. Like i said my project can help out in many aspect of life. It can help in educating the history of the moon and its quakes to people. My project helps to preserve data from over 50 years. I hope to achieve something great from this project believing. I made used of a lot of Tools while working on this. I made use of VS code ask my code editor, i used ObsPY a python tools for working out seismic graphical readings from the DARTS. I also made use of HTML, CSS $ JavaScript, i actually made use of some JS libraries like ThreeJS and D3 in the programming of my 3D moon . I used Github and Heroku Cloud service in hosting my web app. In the creation of the Demo video i made use of bandicam for my screen recording and Wondershare Filmora X for the editing of the demo video which i shared using my private YouTube Channel.

Space Agency Data

I made used of some NASA data form PDS: Bundle Information (nasa.gov) to get data from a CVS, pdf and documentation of moonquakes events and the tools used. It data made up of 20% sucess of this project.

I used data from Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency which access was later block. I used that data with the help of ObsPY to make graphical plotting of the quake reading. ETC

Hackathon Journey

I am a solo competitor so what really inspired me in choosing this challenge is that i wanted to understand how moonquake are made and how to program a 3d stuff because the moonquake globe is my first 3D project i made. I saw this challenge as something that will teach me how to make use of ThreeJS and D3 in creating cool stuff that can help in teaching other how moonquake works. I resolved setbacks, like when i started using ObsPY because it was my first time making use of the tools by going back to reading and understand how Obspy code works and also some YouTube videos helped a lot.. My approach in developing this was plane. I needed something this will be easily accessible and also easy to use. I will like to thank myself for believing in myself and also the YouTube channel creators whose video helped me.
