Moonquake map

High-Level Project Summary

In recent days there’s about between 600 and 3,000 moonquakes during each year. Our challenge is to develop an app that plots the seismic data these instruments transmitted back to Earth on an interactive 3D globe. For the challenge, we learned about collecting information to put in on our 3D model. Which is why we want to divide the moon into multiple sectors and place the seismic gadgets with certain distance from each other . The transmitted information will be collected and stored into the variable. After which the epicenters will be automatically marked red on the 3D model. The information will be transmitted at any time, for safety.

Detailed Project Description

We will create a separate web page, which includes a 3D model of the moon along with information and news about the seismic activity on it. As soon as the gadget confirms changes on the moon, it will be automatically updates onto the webpage and into the model.

Hackathon Journey

Participating in this project gave us a chance to get close to the goal we desired so much. This chance, once again, reminded us how important being a team is. During this challenge we got familiar with new information and got better at coding. We would like to thank Nasa for giving us such an opportunity and also each of the teammates for their hard work.
