High-Level Project Summary

LIKELIHOOD OF COLONIZING THE MOON, LOCATING EARTHQUAKES FOR PRECAUTION.Augmented Reality is an extremely powerful tool of the future, using your PC we superimpose information on MOON EARTHQUAKES, which to achieve it we do not need "launch opportunities", it is always there waiting for us. Here, in rough order from the simplest and earliest to the most distant and complex, is a possible progression in our use of lunar resources, we create a learning opportunity about them. The Apollo missions detected thousands of moonquakes or moonquakes.

Detailed Project Description

The resources provided by the NSAC in this challenge have provided data so that it could be collected, analyzed and applied to programming code. The main objective of developing a web page that fulfills these analysis and sampling functions required an interactive three-dimensional lunar design where the earthquakes recorded at different points on the moon could be located, the platform used called Blender facilitated the process of personalized design and functions of interaction like:

• Click specific points on the moon where you zoom to the interaction zone

• Visualization design of circular waves according to the seismic magnitude

• Jump of informative charts of the eart

Hackathon Journey

Our experience had many pros and cons, one of the pros was learning, many of them from scratch, such as html programming and the development of 3d environments in Blender. One of the negative points was the stress, anxiety and panic that the team went through at certain times due to the fact that they did not know how to deal with the problem.

I learned to investigate, also that there is a lot of nasa data that is distributed on the network and that it is not very useful, and that they need people who can make this data useful.


Practically our inspiration was the problem itself, the fact that it was a challenge not so easy to face, and give a purpose to the solution

How did your team resolve setbacks and challenges?

our team was divided into three parts, software development, research and presentation

We would like to thank Mr. Jorge Bareiro, and Ramon Sosa, who were the ones who helped us with the software and the presentation, there were times when we got stuck and they helped us move forward. We consider them part of the team
