High-Level Project Summary
Nasa which was established in the 1950s had accomplished many Earth observation missions. Up to a hundred Earth observing satellites had been sent by NASA into space to observe our Earth. All these different satellites have different functions and are equipped with advanced technologies designed for specific tasks . Hence, we had created Finite, a mobile application that simplifies the satellites and their functions, as well as their missions. An application that is simple enough yet interactive and engaging for users to easily digest the information about satellites and their mission. Our application aims to educate people about the satellites and the Earth observing missions.

Detailed Project Description
What exactly does it do?
Our mobile applications show information about satellites that were used to observe the Earth in the simplest way. The information available on NASA's official website about these satellites can be too long and hard for users to understand. Thus, we have created Finite which simplifies those information into an interactive form. Users will be able to educate themselves by looking through the different satellites which had been placed in chronological order. Each satellite will include its own missions and the technologies equipped with them which are used for specific tasks.
How does it work?
Once the users clicked on the app, they will see a splash screen with our logo displayed. After some introduction, the users will be brought to the home screen with four buttons dedicated to four functions in our app. The main function of our app is to provide a depiction of all NASA's Earth-observing missions from time to time. We divided the mission into three groups:
red color represents the completed mission;
green color represents the current ongoing mission ;
yellow color represents the future mission.
In each card, there will be information about the launch date launch location and a summary of all the missions. There will also be a picture of the satellite. The easy understanding of information is suitable for all ages. Besides that, there is also a live streaming button on the home page. This function is to let the user watch the live broadcast from NASA TV. It provides live coverage of launches, spacewalks, and other mission events. Furthermore, our app provides the latest official news from NASA with reliable resources. Last but not least, users can take a quiz to test their knowledge about NASA.

What benefits does it have?
Users who use our app will be able to indulge themselves in various information about satellites that had been launched by NASA ever since the 1950s to observe our Earth. Moreover, they will also get to educate themselves about all the different missions which NASA had accomplished since its establishment on 29th July 1958. All the information had been simplified in order to make sure users can easily understand the satellites and their missions. The application is also highly interactive and engaging, making sure users will never get bored.
Future improvement
In the future, we would like to add more quizzes with different difficulties which provide more options to fit all ages. Moreover, we would like to add the launch countdown features of the user's favorite future mission in our app. We would like to add more information for example space station and the list of active and retired astronauts. We would also add different languages version to our app. With multi-language support, we believe that our app can enhance our user experience by letting them learn more about NASA'S Earth-observing mission in a language they feel more comfortable using.
What do we hope to achieve?
We, members of Spacey, hope to be able to educate everyone about the journey of NASA in observing the Earth in an engaging and friendly way. We would want to have a user-friendly application for our users so that they won't be confused about how to use it. The information is also very simple and interactive, keeping all users entertain while they educate themselves.
We sincerely hope Finite is able to spread the knowledge to everyone of various ages. We also highly encourage everyone to utilize our application to learn about the growth of NASA in Earth observation.

Space Agency Data
NASA'S Earth Observing System had provided us with all the information needed to develop Finite. It provided us with plenty of accurate information about satellites launched by NASA since 1950s till now which were used to observe the Earth. It also includes the mission category for each satellites, as well as their current status. These information had been simplified into our app, Finite, by using Kodular.
Hackathon Journey
Throughout this whole Space Apps Challenge, my team and I had gone through quite a lot of obstacles along the way. We had faced some setbacks during the challenge such as trying to get things done before the deadline and planning out everything to make sure the whole process goes well. However, we all really had learned a lot and consumed new knowledge, as well as getting more experience. We were exposed to a lot of contents about the different satellites and Earth observing missions such as the JWST Telescope which was launched on 25th December, 2021. Moreover, we also learnt about the ways to attract ones attention towards our work. Apart from all these, the most important lesson we had learnt is that teamwork and dedications plays a crucial role in the completion of this challenge.
Space Apps Challenge had allowed us to know more about each other and created a bond between all of us. Throughout this challenge we worked together as a team and had easily became friends.
