Parker and Friends

High-Level Project Summary

Our project requires a lot of coding as its an interactive digital storybook. A digital storybook is able to do so much more then a physical book can do. For example, a digital story book is able to play music while you're reading. Our project can help kids understand space science even more. They can learn and gain more knowledge about our solar system. Our project is very important to approach the kids around the world about the space science. Parker and Friends may help them to learn and understand about the Parker Solar Probe. Kids also can achieve some moral values from our digital storybook.

Detailed Project Description

In our digital storybook "Parker and Friends", kids are able to learn and explore a lot about space science. We really hope through our book kids are interested into learning more about the Parker Solar Probe. As they are reading the storybook, They can have fun while gaining more knowledge about our solar system and about the probe. Sometimes space science could be really confusing for kids around the age of 8-10 so we hope throughout this book they can understand space science even more easier. Our digital storybook is suitable only on Mac and Windows.

Space Agency Data

We used NASA data very often to proofread our project. We mainly used NASA for its accurate resources. Its open source data was very helpful as there was some sites that required to pay and such. We too needed its info as our project revolves around its info. The use of NASA resources was used into our projects to determine the plots, info and characteristic of our characters. As and example, we used NASA resources to proofread everything about our project. We made a lot of research about the Parker Solar Probe before creating a suitable characteristic for it.

Hackathon Journey

There isn't really a word that we could think of our experience as it was very exciting. We learn a lot about the Parker Solar Probe and its missions. Our inspiration was because we love to read and write. Our main goal was to succeed in life as an author. My team faced lots of challenges as we lack the knowledge of coding. But after a lot of consideration our coder managed to try her best at it and it work. She spent her whole day coding our project and with some help from our teacher, she managed to finish it with full of enthusiasm and pride. We also struggled to rhyme some words as we aren't used to rhyming but luckily our teacher was able to help us to rhyme some of its words. We would like to thank our teacher, Sir Anders as he help us throughout this amazing journey. I personally would like to thank our coder, Jessalyn because she spent days trying to figure out the coding. She is a great leader and is the best friend anyone could ask for. She is also our main reason throughout our success. I would also like to give a major shoutout to our drawer, Dhania as she drew the amazing drawing. Without her drawing, our projects would look so dull and uninteresting. And i would never forget our editor, Daren. I personally love our team and i hope for the next few years we would continue our amazing friendship.
