JOURNEY TO THE SUN

High-Level Project Summary

We have developed a short story regarding this record breaking mission of Parker Solar Probe. The story targets to documentize this inspiring journey from the Earth to the Sun, to young audiences along with all the problems it overcomes on the way. This story will be helpful for the better understanding of the journey of the probe with fictional touch.

Detailed Project Description

Inspiration of the Story Format

The story is based on dialogue format between students, teacher and scientists instead of one way story narration format to simulate the situation.

Inspired from simple observation ; “When parents or grandparents are telling story to their children or grandchildren. Where the children interrupt them asking too much questions” .This is because, we know that it's human nature to be curious about and memorize things which are inquired; not just read.

So we too kept the plot where there arises Interaction ,many questions, interruptions from the students directly to the journey scientists making it relatable to youths naturally.

“Depicting human nature for memories and affection does not match with inbuilt narration.”

Inspiration of the plot

As we know that in this modern era most of the youths are fascinated towards comic, drama, and fiction .So, we have used fiction in the plot of the story.

“Keeping in count to update youths accordingly to the world in their own comfort zone.”

Information provided in the story

Solar wind(steady stream of charged particles emitted by the sun)

a)Setting up space weather storms that can disrupt satellites, ships, and the power grid

b)carrying the sun's magnetic field with itself which affect earth's magnetosphere

c)causing aurora

d)bringing the hazardous solar radiations to the earth

Space dust(tiny dust particles formed due to collision of asteroids)

They are also called cosmic dust. A fleck of space dust is usually smaller than a grain of sand and is made up of rock ,ice, minerals and organic compounds.

Dust Free Zone

It is estimated about three and half million miles from the sun .We can find dust free zone as the Sun vaporizes it at that distance.

Switchbacks of Magnetic Fields

It also cleared us that the magnetic fields of the sun are not uniform and continuous i.e. it shows switchback nature(magnetic reversal).

Turbulence Nature of Solar Wind

The potages from Parker Solar Probe has provided us the irregular texture of solar wind and plasma i.e. lack and continuous order in their flow.

Structural and Componential logic behind the Parker Solar Probe (Answering the questions like why don’t we have dust sensor in it.

Without making the plot complex we kept this Story video simple in terms targeting youths answering simple doubts which online informative video creators neglects feeling childish.

Solar Cycle

It is the periodicity of sunspots in an average of 11 years.

Benefits Our Project Bears

This Informative video doesn’t aim children and youths to directly involve in intense Educational video. It is more like day to day Animation video that they come across for entertainment purposes. We have prioritized Story over maximizing contents so that our video makes sense of involvement with Journey rather than remembering facts, figures and phenomena.

OUR Expectations from the project

We confess the renowned ness it provides to winners was what pushed us and first sight imagine.

First sight imagination of in case if we be able to achieve that recognition excited us.

But after spending all these hours together with beautiful childish satisfaction over sleep... We all want collectively is the recognition / availability of Format and depiction of story emotions we all tried to provide...

Hackathon Journey

HACKATHON JOURNEY

Our team name “GREENHORNS” itself represents the ‘beginners’ and so do we. Actually we were looking for the opportunity since last year when we first got to know about the Space app challenge. This year because of support and guidance of our physics teacher Mr. Prem Raj Joshi our dream came true. Our experience in hackathon was awesome . We got many new things to know about the sun about which we had no idea before.

It widens our knowledge about the solar system, especially about the sun. We were able to know about Parker Solar Probe, its functioning mechanism, its components. In addition to it we also were able to know about the challenges tackled before and during this History making process.

It was so much fun to learn about it and tried our best to make others feel the same from our project.
