As the Muhteşem Üçlü, we aimed to tell the inspiring story of the Parker Solar Probe to the young audience with a game. Thus, we will be able to convey the story being told to the audience more effectively with an interactive learning experience. The overall learning time will be longer than usual by keeping the audience's attention on the game with in-game humor elements. It was aimed at not detaching the actors from reality with cutscenes using real videos. Thus, both in-game learning will be preserved in a realistic way and the user experience of the players will be kept at a sufficient level.
In this project, we designed an interactive game for young audiences to learn what the Parker Solar Probe is. We wrote a storyline about the Parker Solar Probe going to the Sun. We kept the player's interest vigorous with some easter eggs. We made up funny results for the choices in our game. Our goal is to ensure that young audiences do not forget this great adventure because they learned it while having fun.
Successfully complete the launch(part two)
Use Venus’s gravity to assist the probe successfully and complete part three.
See the solar wind and pass it.
Discover the switchback
Touch the sun.
Muhteşem Üçlü is the Turkish name of a mathemathical theorem which is shown in our profile picture. It also translates to the fabulous Trio. The theorem consist of four properties which symbolises our members.
Our Hackathon journey started with great uncertainty because none of our members had ever witnessed a hackathon before. We learned that we were all in the same city, but despite this, we were all dealing with the project from separate houses. Disruptions in communication caused delays in some of the planned phases of the project in the early hours.
In order to meet this extra workforce and speed up, we decided to gather somewhere outside. We all came together during the lunch break and reduced the time spent on communication to zero. While we were traveling through the vast obscurity of Hackhatlon, we decided to describe this journey with a game with the ingenious idea of one of our group members. But this presented us with a different problem: NONE OF US KNEW TO WRITE A SINGLE LINE OF CODE. Thanks to various websites and Hackhatlon, we have created solutions to this problem with audio and video editing methods, which one of our members is fully specialized in, and we have brought our game to a level that can be played.
The second day was more comfortable than the first day. Because now we've all been experienced and have a general understanding of how things work. However, something happened that hindered our plans. One Marathon We had to deviate from our normal route and it was delayed until we reached our destination. We have started, albeit late, as we still have a lot of work to do. Many obstacles stood in the way of our work. A CAMEL passed in front of the cafe where we work, not once, not twice, but 3 times. This rite of passage, which we later realized the hard way was for a wedding, caused many distractions. Due to an emergency situation, we had to pick up the items from the school. And when we arrived at the school 25 minutes away from where we were, we saw that the school was closed. We tried hard to make up for the loss of time immediately, and we finished the game at around 20 o'clock as a result of our great efforts. Coming home at this hour was a challenge, but there were tense moments between us as we remembered that we had to fill out these sections on the Space Apps website before returning home. In this sometimes tense, sometimes fun, 2-day adventure, we learned about teamwork and project management for The Parker Solar Probe as much as we thought we could never be in our lives.

On April 28, 2021, during its eighth flyby of the Sun, Parker Solar Probe did what no other human-made object has ever done: it “touched” the Sun—meaning the spacecraft flew through the Sun’s upper atmosphere (the corona) and sampled particles and magnetic fields there. Your challenge is to develop a creative way to tell young audiences the inspiring story of Parker’s record-breaking journey from Earth to the Sun and all the perils it overcame on the way.
