Following the Steps of Carl SAGAN

High-Level Project Summary

On August 12, 2018 NASA successfully launched Parker Solar Probe on a mission to study the Sun. (Parker Solar Probe’s name comes from Eugene Newman Parker) Parker is the first spacecraft to touch the sun and the fastest human made object. Parker informed us about solar storms, and more... Parker has faced some difficulties like space debris after it launched. We tried to express the difficulties experienced by the space probe named Parker Solar Probe during its journey to the Sun in an impressive way to science enthusiasts.

Detailed Project Description

In the next projects like this, creating a mindset to foresee possible problems, reinforce the curiosity of school-age children about the situations that can be experienced in space.

Space Agency Data

While preparing our project, we thoroughly researched the photographic archive shared with us by Nasa and used the photographs that we decided were striking.

At the same time, we compiled the information we used in our project through the texts shared by NASA. Before starting our project, we checked the distances of the Voyager space endings that inspired us to Earth, on the data shared by Nasa. We think Voyager played a big role in the creation of the Parker Solar Probe.

Hackathon Journey

We think that it enables science enthusiasts to gather together and conduct research in a pleasant environment.

Ever since Carl Sagan's studies started to make us think and wonder about space, what awaits us in both the visible universe and other parts of the universe is one of the biggest surprises we will encounter in the coming years. It was really fun to participate in such a competition while waiting for what these surprises were.
