The Parker Solar Probe

High-Level Project Summary

The AKATSUKI aims for a very simple and detailed explanation of the Parker probe mission. The explanation is easily understood by english speaker of all ages. To achieve this aim our group developed a website. The website links a very simple explanation of the mission and a simulation of the probe. The simulation is a 3D model of the probe. And the link to explanation leads to a youtube video created by the AKATSUKI.

Detailed Project Description

The website includes a link to the animation on YouTube and another link to the 3D model. It also has links to the information about the mission and the probe itself. The website also displays all the milestones achived by the probe in the course of the mission.

We hope that the information of the mission is displayed in such a manner that even a toddler with basic english and science knowledge can understand what the mission is about and how everything works. This puts a spark of space exploration in the future generations.

Wondershare filmora x (video editor) was used to edit and export the animation. The website is coded in HTML coding language. The 3D model is embedded into the website.

Space Agency Data

The 3D model of the probe is borrowed from the NASA's website. All the specifics of the probe are borrowed from the NASA's website.

We utilised the photos of sun's surface that was captured by the probe from the NASA's website.

Hackathon Journey

We started with a discussion on how will we present the solution to our challenge. Then a few of us agreed on making a website first. While making the website we realised that it is very beneficial to make an animation of how the probe carried out the mission.

Hence we divided the work. While doing so we realised that making a 3D model would be even better but if we make it, we would compromise the accuracy of the model. So we decided to borrow it from the NASA'S website.

And with time we developed a website that links all of our work together at one place.
