Parker Solar Probe Adventure

High-Level Project Summary

This project is called Parker Solar Probe Adventure. We want to tell the young audience the journey of Parker Solar Probe. This project will tell the users all about the probe and the records it broke. It also has a little minigame which the users can play and understand the probe’s journey. In the future, we plan to add more info about the probe and details on the probe’s journey to the sun.

Detailed Project Description

  1. The instruction of this game is Green flag to start, W, Up arrow or the "Up" button to move up. D, Down arrow or the "Down" button to move down. Hit the earth to win. Avoid space rocks.
  2. We hope that through this project, the young audience will understand the journey of Parker Solar Probe and all about it.
  3. We use Scratch to develop our project.

Hackathon Journey

I would like to say that Space Apps challenge is awesome. Through this challenge I’ve learned about teamwork. I have to thank my partner for helping me resolve the problems and challenges I faced.

On the Way to the Sun

On April 28, 2021, during its eighth flyby of the Sun, Parker Solar Probe did what no other human-made object has ever done: it “touched” the Sun—meaning the spacecraft flew through the Sun’s upper atmosphere (the corona) and sampled particles and magnetic fields there. Your challenge is to develop a creative way to tell young audiences the inspiring story of Parker’s record-breaking journey from Earth to the Sun and all the perils it overcame on the way.
