High-Level Project Summary
Our idea is to create a simulator that shows how is the parker solar probe made, the instruments used and how the journey was. We chose a simulator because in our opinion interactive tools attract more attention. It is important since nowadays young people do not care so much about science and new discoveries, and we think that science is one of the most important fields to study in the world.

Detailed Project Description
What the simulator does is try to improve people’s skills in engineering and astronomy by using a creative and interactive way to learn. It will work with the programming of a game that will be in a webpage. The benefits are that it is not really difficult to make or to play, so it is an easy solution. What we hope to achieve is to get people’s attention and incentivize them to be involved in a wonderful world like it is science, because we really enjoy and love it and we want people to feel the same as we feel.

We used the parkersolarprobe_presskit_august2018_final.pdf and it was really helpful because it has a lot of information that helps with the understanding of the probe.
Also we used the NASA 3d model of the probe to get inspired and think about how our 3d models have to be.
And finally we used NASA images to the project demo.

Hackathon Journey
This experience is one of the best ones that I have had in my entire life, because science is something that really apassionates me and having the opportunity to participate in this challenge is an honor. I think that this is like a start of a new stage in my life, as my dream since I was a child is to be an astronomer and I almost gave up because of the difficulties that studying it has in my country. This experience gave me the motivation to fight for my dreams no matter the difficulties. Also being around other teams working in an enthusiastic way made me happy.
What inspired my team to choose this challenge was the amazing capabilities of the probe, because it is something never done before, and I am happy to have chosen it since I learned a lot.
