High-Level Project Summary
LEO it's not only a platform that integrate all academic texts about earth observation spread around the web, but also a user friendly interface that lead you directly to real cases, causes and consequences of your interest area in order to show you the skills needed to solve this problems directing you to the link that provides this kwnowledge. It was developed to disseminate and stimulate all people to learn more about it and practice with questions made by automated updates from our users. We are giving real solutions to real problems.

Detailed Project Description
We created LEO, an integration platform that compile academic texts, courses, periodicals, and articles in order to training professionals and policymakers with the environmental background, using EO data analysis.
The Portal gathers, in an organized and segmented way, all the main environmental problems that can be solved through the applications of the EO databases, and, in an user-friendly way, presents the knowledge and skills necessary for the study of this database.
at first tab, the user sees a menu that segments the problems into specific areas of knowledge, thus facilitating the user's experience. When choosing a specific area of knowledge, the use of mind maps and infographics is enabled to track and present clearly: "WHAT THE PROFESSIONAL NEED TO DEAL WITH SPECIFIC PROBLEMS" based on real cases that has already happened all around the world, all this through the integration of links to courses, training programs , lectures, journals and other tools. For this we rely on AI, which through the Python language uses the NLTK library to perform the information mining process and through filters created by the algorithm established by the portal, that is, the portal captures and centralizes contents that are dispersed in the internet and join in a single online gateway. With our goal being not only gather this capacitation content but the accessible propagation of this knowledge, we thought about some strategies to make that seem more appealing and that would be our gamification program. Basicaly with he same interdisciplinary segments in the first page (but in a specific gamming section) the user can answer a quizz that will rank him local and world wide. This quiz is about answering questions proposed by other users and everyone can evaluate this questions, so the more relevant matters will be disposed first, and the best questions about the interest of this user will be designated to him.
Space Agency Data
We mostly used data disponibilazed by the resources area by NASA, CONAE and BAE (INPE) from Brazil
NASA data: at first we grounded the linking in our project with the ARSET training program and using the 7 pillars found in the eo dashboard to determinate the especifications in
interdisciplinary menu, but in order to focus on environment issues, we putted only the 6 that suited better.
CONAE: With the massive training unit we got the idea of a easy way to test and spread the knowledge, that furter for us, it was very helpful for our fundamental idea on gamification option.
BAE: by getting to know the AQUA – Aqua Project Science, we found an interesting way to use EO to help ocean environment issue.
Hackathon Journey
Our experience in this marathon has been fantastic! Everyone should participate. At first we thought on this challenge because it is from earth, and we could be more accurate in the theme, but later we found that we could do something realy meaningful for our society, mostly to help the decision makers to choose grounded in real past cases around the whole world and in some cases, avoid bad decisions that would interfere only in the life of the most exposed layer of society. In this process, we've larned not only how to hear and assimilate tips that our mentors gave to us, but to stay loyal to our purpose and beyond that, how to work in time, under pressure and develop better ways do team work. We'd like to thank specialy our teacher at administration school of UFBA Isabel Sartori, that in the classes stimulated us to take part in this project. At that time we didin't know, but it would further change our lives. Thank you Lekka and all her local organization team. We will be forever grateful for this opportunity.
