Capacity building resources gateway using AI

High-Level Project Summary

We have created a smart database using AI. Our artificial intelligence algorithm analyzed articles and resources, thereby sorting everything, gave it to us. Thus, we solved the problem associated with searching for EO information. We have created a user-friendly interface with support and FAQ .We also developed a second AI algorithm that extracts only the necessary information from a large and voluminous source of information, which is important for solving problems related to the public availability of information. We took advantage of this to conduct Researches. Thus, we have made a website with a couple of courses and resources by using web hosting services.

Detailed Project Description

Our project is both a resource and educational platform to help people learn and understand anything related to EO. The main idea is to make public information more accessible and understandable by using AI . Consequently, users read a short overview( Shorten by AI) of a material and if something captivated them the most, they can read the material on the original source below. Therefore, the website contains resources, courses from various reliable sources and sorts them by topics, level, field, etc. Users search for the information they need, which is categorized and then they get offered a shortened text of the article they chose. The platform also recommends training courses for those who want to deepen their knowledge in a certain field. Also, our project has incentives for users who research and read a lot. In other words, the main advantages of our project are abridged and more comprehensible articles, awards for researchers, and an AI that makes it easier to find resources.

In general, this project is divided into 3 parts, those are - artificial intelligence, the back, and the front of the development. The AI algorithms are made to create what was described above(AI finds the resources across the internet and shorten it). While the back development stands for the archives and calculations that are used on the website.

We also used Python, and JS to create the AI and the website. Plus we utilized several libraries for the AI and the website. Additionally, we used a front-end website builder as a template and created our own refined website. Moreover, several IDEs (Pycharm, Sublime Text, WebStorm, etc) were used for development. We've also taken other AIs as an example to improve local AI.

Now we are hoping to reach the right audience. An audience of people who are desperate for knowledge. We truly believe that this will be a fresh breath of air for the scientific community since there aren't any projects with this concept.

Everyone knows that in the world there is a huge amount of information on the Internet that a person is not able to recognize. We know that NASA and Space Agencies have a huge amount of resources that help scientific research, scientists, etc. Therefore, our only goal is to make public information more accessible and understandable. So we developed the AI,which carefully searches and processes the information, and then after receiving, the second artificial intelligence extracts a summary from the material and presents it. So we have accelerated the process of finding resources for ourselves for making a capacity-building resources gateway

Hackathon Journey

This is our first team hackathon. Together with the team, we arrived at the American Space center (where this Hackathon took place). We got an unforgettable experience, made new acquaintances, learned a lot of new things and completely plunged into the world of hackathons. It was one of the most wonderful experiences in life for every member of our team. The only thing that motivated us was to create something new that could help people. At the very beginning, we made a step-by-step plan, and strictly adhered to it. Our team expresses its deep gratitude to the organizers of this event, as well as the organizers of this hackathon and the authors of all the resources that we used.
