To put you in context...
Did you know that more than 95% of the fire sources have a common origin? Yes, you got it right men's misbehave and activities like grassland burnt are the main character on this horror story.
This activity is an ancestral practice that in many cases is regulated and protocolized in provinces and municipalities, calling them "prescribed burning", "controlled burning" etc. This year, the situation in the delta was aggravated by the historic drop in the Paraná River and the wetlands associated with the flood plains, which have always acted as a containment barrier for fires. The reality indicates that these practices that's strongly rooted in the culture of farmers and ranchers, must be modified immediately, replacing them with possible and acceptable technological alternatives from the environmental and productive point of view. Routine burning in years of extreme drought can lead to ecosystem devastation.
As a manner of example we asked an AI to draw what can happen with the native forest of Córdoba if man keeps their misbehaves.
How this affect the society?
It must be considered that once a damage as intense as a regional fire is inflicted, recovery takes a long time, especially when it comes to hardwood forests that nature builds over tens or hundreds of years. When disturbances are introduced into an ecosystem, damage is inflicted that its resilience usually repairs to the extent that the state of critical vulnerability is not reached. The measures that prevent reaching said state must be arbitrated. The basic solutions consist of avoiding or at least minimizing these catastrophes by working intensely on prevention. This task must be done on the one hand inside gates, avoiding burning and making fire breaks that must be kept free of vegetation, especially in times of high temperatures and droughts. For their part, the nation and the provinces, especially those that are cyclically affected by fires, should act preventively by implementing continuous training systems (agricultural producers and citizens in general), an increase in specially trained brigade members in forest and mountain areas, and improvement of alarm and firefighting systems.
