To build a Biological space superhero

High-Level Project Summary

What is a superhero?you might contemplate batman or superman or spiderman?but who is a superhero in the real world, someone who can go to all extremes and still come out unscathed, whether it be thermal vents, or desert sands, gaseous depravity or zero gravity, it could combat against those adversities at all costs,thus we developed a microorganism that has the abilities of many microscopic as well as multicellular organisms, ranging from tardigrades to snakes, to basic cells, to bacillus bacteria, to sea urchins and starfish,the amalgamation of all these heroes of the world, to make a superhero out of this world that defies all odds.

Detailed Project Description

so this microbial superhero, which has the ability to combat most of its adversaries in space be it, zero gravity, uv radiation, gamma rays and xrays, sighted problems, reproduction in zero gravity etc

in the above mentioned slides, these are some of the issues discussed regarding how would we form a biological superhero and how would its body function under non-earthly conditions.

Space Agency Data

so, for this projects, data was used from NASA, JAXA, CSA and the ESA, combinedly all of the data along with data of animals that are found on earth (general information regarding kingdom animalia) was used to come up with this answer, although the solution is not complete but still we gave it our best shot and tried to be as creative as possible

Hackathon Journey

The experience we had in this competition was just phenomenal, on both the days, although, there was some mismanagement but still, all around it was a really informative event, with myriads of bright minds sitting together, and so many geniuses sitting in one room , each with their own solutions and own pitches regarding the problem at hand.

Our team had a rather systematic approach on how to deal with the problem at hand, by first pointing out all the possible issues a living being would face in zero gravity, and then either come up with a solution , a modification, or a replacement to answer the question of "How is my superhero going to thrive in space", although we couldnt make a complete solution due to lack of time but with the 2 days we had, and as someone from a quasi-biology background, it was indeed fun going through reports regarding reports of different space agencies, and then realizing how space travel is no walk in the park and it comes with both long term and short term issues which need to be solved to make space travel an easier thing in the near future.
