High-Level Project Summary
The experiments that are carried out to determine which organisms have a better response to various situations they face in space are not new things. For years, space agencies have sent organisms into space and these are subjected to various tests to determine which of them have the necessary characteristics to survive a space trip, therefore, we have created "BioSpace Adventure", a video game, which will subject an organism to these space adversities (such as changes in gravity, radiation, food shortages and medical resources). whose genetic combination is based on a set of the best characteristics of various animals, insects, unicellular organisms, and plants, whose ability to resist these
Hackathon Journey
Our experience in this Space Apps was really great. We learned a lot about which organisms would be suitable for space travel, the difficulties they would face, and their characteristics that are essential for overcoming various challenges. What inspired us the most to choose this challenge, was how interesting the discoveries obtained from space travel experiments have been, and we wanted to share this information in a didactic way so that we can get a total focus of our users while they learn and had fun. The approach we used was learning by playing, we prototyped a game that will be fun and most important, informative. To each challenge encountered, the team was the solution, since together we investigated more and more and thus we could obtain solutions efficiently.
