Build a Space Biology Superhero

High-Level Project Summary

We are wondering for making a game that may help most of the society especially teenagers learn and understand how’s the pollution that made by human to our land-mother, Earth. And also have an alert to players that humans will have to migrate to others planet in the future if they still continue the harm to Earth. Through the game, players can learn the process of making rocket and spacesuits. Besides that, players also can learn what’s the food for astronauts and the way they eat on the space. In the other hand, players also can learn how to develop the raw material through the demonstration and tutorial that will be performed in the game.

Detailed Project Description

Details:

i.                    Game Characters

i.In order to make the players more engaged in the game. Players can choose the face scan or make their own and choose the color of hair, skin pupils. Size of ears, mouth, hand and foot length, body proportions and so on. Of course, we need to provide templates such as elf ears, different types of mouth shapes and genders.

ii.                  Options:

-         Players have the option to go to the Novice village (Earth) or directly into the matching machine (can be teamed up).

-         Players are forced to enter the novice village(Earth) to prevent themselves being destroyed by atmospheric pressure and various reasons. In this process, when the player kills more than 50 times, they can get the hidden rare title “Old Stubborn”.(The second person who gets this title needs to die many times more than the first one, and so on)

-

iii.                Obediently entering the novice village players need:

iii.- There will be a tutorial to tell the player, the required materials and material map) After collecting the materials, the player will come to the construction workshop, and place the materials in their respective positions, and then make parts rockets and space suits together.

iii.

iv.                After novice village:

-         When the player breaks through the novice village (after pass the tutorial on making rocket and space suit made by themselves), our game will adopt a random matching planet mechanism. But this planet does not include our solar system.

-

-         For example, if one of your friends has played on a planet that has already reached the matching system, you can rush to the planet leaderboard with your friends by adding friends. When the planet is full, you can only go to another planet. Player’s friends and ranked games will not be restricted by region. With communicate with teammates, players can open microphone, can send emoji, can type (typing has translation). In addition to the rankings within the planet, there are also the total ranking of the planet, and the star ranking of each individual.

-

v.                  Mechanism (5v5 or 100 with matchmaking and ranking):

-         5v5 mechanism, players can choose their own mech figure and the ability fusion obtained from the monster to fight (draw 2-5 mech first) 100-player mode. In the 100-player mode, players can choose to form a 5-1 team and search for mechs and combat weapons on randomly landed planets for 10 minutes. During this time, players cannot fight each other. In addition, players in the game not only need to fight against other planets but also against alien monsters to protect our 7 planets and the sun. Each requires a rank limit as long as it is a ranked mechanism

-Just play with friends to increase intimacy (intimacy has a leaderboard).

vi.                Shop (Buy for needs):

a.      Coin

-         Can be received from friends, matching or rank. For earning the coins, player have to join for the matching and rank. The team that won the game will receive 50 coins while the others will only receive 5 coins.

-         The coin can be used in buying weapons, adding lifetime , adding the ability to attack the monster.

b.      Diamond (the least occurrence rate and as the reward)

-         When players can win the matching or rank continuously in the range 22 or above, the system will automatically send the reward to players.

c.      Crystal

-         Crystal is more advance than coin and diamond as it can used in buy the superpower or templet in the game. In the other hand, crystal also can be used to buy cheats to kill the monster. Furthermore, crystal also can buy the special and interesting designation for the players.

Hackathon Journey

What had we learnt after this challenge:

1.      What kind of materials are used for rockets?

A rocket must withstand the strong forces during launch and be as light as possible. For the main frame most, rockets use aerospace grade aluminium or titanium since both metals are very strong but light weight. Future rocket designs are even looking into using carbon composite structures. Aluminium, however, melts at the high re-entry temperatures. So, if a rocket needs to come back to Earth (like the Space Shuttle), heat shield tiles are made up of silica fibres since they are great insulators. These fibres are then coated by glass to increase their effectiveness.

2.      How’s rocket design?

-      A rocket design can be as simple as a cardboard tube filled with black powder, but to make an efficient, accurate rocket or missile involves overcoming a number of difficult problems. The main difficulties include cooling the combustion chamber, pumping the fuel (in the case of a liquid fuel), and controlling and correcting the direction of motion.

3.      What’s the usage of space suit?

-      A spacesuit is much more than a set of clothes astronauts wear on spacewalks. A fully equipped spacesuit is really a one-person spacecraft. The formal name for the spacesuit used on the space shuttle and International Space Station is the Extravehicular Mobility Unit, or EMU. "Extravehicular" means outside of the vehicle or spacecraft. "Mobility" means that the astronaut can move around in the suit. The spacesuit protects the astronaut from the dangers of being outside in space.

4.      Why Do Astronauts Need Spacesuits?

-      Spacesuits help astronauts in several ways. Spacewalking astronauts face a wide variety of temperatures. In Earth orbit, conditions can be as cold as minus 250 degrees Fahrenheit. In the sunlight, they can be as hot as 250 degrees. A spacesuit protects astronauts from those extreme temperatures.

Spacesuits also supply astronauts with oxygen to breathe while they are in the vacuum of space. They contain water to drink during spacewalks. They protect astronauts from being injured from impacts of small bits of space dust. Space dust may not sound very dangerous, but when even a tiny object is moving many times faster than a bullet, it can cause injury. Spacesuits also protect astronauts from radiation in space. The suits even have visors to protect astronauts' eyes from the bright sunlight.

5.      Raw material of spacesuits:

-      Numerous raw materials are used for constructing a spacesuit. Fabric materials include a variety of different synthetic polymers. The innermost layer is made up of a Nylon tricot material. Another layer is composed of spandex, an elastic wearable polymer. There is also a layer of urethane-coated nylon, which is involved in pressurization. Dacron—a type of polyester—is used for a pressure-restraining layer. Other synthetic fabrics used include Neoprene that is a type of sponge rubber, aluminized Mylar, Vortex, Kevlar, and Nomex.

-      Beyond synthetic fibres other raw materials have important roles. Fiberglass is the primary material for the hard-upper torso segment. Lithium hydroxide is used in making the filter which removes carbon dioxide and water vapor during a spacewalk. A silver zinc blend comprises the battery that powers the suit. Plastic tubing is woven into the fabric to transport cooling water throughout the suit. A polycarbonate material is used for constructing the shell of the helmet. Various other components are used to make up the electronic circuitry and suit controls.
