High-Level Project Summary
Our game will let players choose specialty trait(s) from different organisms such as the tardigrade, or water bear. Once players have formed their "Superhero", a combined organism with different traits from many different organisms, players will test out their Superhero in different missions featuring the biggest problems facing astronauts in space today: Radiation, Hunger, Sleep, bone fractures and so on. We seek to inspire young minds and educate others on the dangers of space as well as the frontiers of biology.

Detailed Project Description
Our game will allow players to create their very own "Superhero" with different traits, each from a different organism, such as the tardigrade, or water bear, with traits such as withstanding the vacuum of space and extreme radiation, surviving without food or water, and more. Once the player has finished designing his/her Superhero, he/she will have the option to try it out in different missions we have provided, each with a certain space element/problem that astronauts face today in goal.
- Sleep: Our mini game will provide power-ups and perks, although unrealistic, and let players see how long they can survive in space without sleep.
- Repair: Players must collect space debris floating around their spaceship in order to repair and complete different tasks spread across the spaceship.
- Gravity: The players will have a wide arrangement of planets, each with different gravity. The player can choose a planet for their avatar to feel what gravity that planet holds.
- Hunger: The player must find food packages scattered across the space station in order to survive.
- Bonus Mini game - Trivia Quiz - Random questions that will test the player's knowledge on everything that the game is supposed to teach the player.
Health: The tardinaut will have 4 hidden stats- Sleep, Hunger, Entertainment, and Stamina. If any of these bars reaches 0, the tardinaut will die. Different mini games can increase different stats by a different amount, amplified by the traits chosen.
Traits: Different trait grafted from different organisms based on their strength and weaknesses. The available perks that the player has not included in their tardinaut can also be found in randomly in events in addition to choosing them while in the spaceship.
Our game will focus on specifically educating young minds on the main elements/problems facing astronauts in space today. Our application will not only benefit children with knowledge but will also benefit NASA in terms of jobs and employees. We used Scratch, IbisPaint X, Python, and free stock images to complete our project, and we hope to educate as many children as possible about the elements of space.

Space Agency Data
We used this link to confirm that all data related with "sleep" in space was accurate.
We used this link to make sure all of our understanding involving "Radiation" is accurate

We used this link to make sure all of our data involving "hunger" is accurate.
We used this link to make sure all of our expectations involving "gravity" is accurate.
Hackathon Journey
This has been a really unique and fun experience, and I've learned a lot from my teammates. We chose this challenge because it was the one that seemed the most interesting to tackle. To solve differences within the group, we voted, and was the main reason why our team cooperation was not disrupted often. I would like to thank my teacher, Ms. Russet, or known as Ms. Potato, for helping this team through the challenge.
-Jeffery
This was a really fun thing to do. I have learned a lot from my teacher and classmates. We chose this challenge because it wasn't that hard, and it also had something everyone in our team can do. Our approach was to vote if there were any disagreements. Our approach was to assign everyone different jobs so everyone can do what they are good at. I would like to thank my teacher, Mrs. Russet for helping us through this challenge.
-Ian
This has been a very fun and unique experience because I learned a lot from the challenge for example that I learned to cooperate with anybody. I also learn that never give up in order to accomplish the things you want. I will never forget about this event. I would like to thank my teammates and Ms. Potato for helping me in order to achieve this project, Space Traveler.
-Tony
This has been an exciting challenge with our team, it was cool from scraps to a pretty good project while watching the process slowly and slowly it was awesome. I also learned a few things this year and last year, teamwork, coding. We started with a lot of fights, but we slowly adapted since we knew that if we worked together, we would get a decent award. It was the best year I ever had.
-Lucas
The challenge we chose was hard, but also fun. Although we sometimes didn't cooperate (which was very often). we overcame it and finished the challenge. We learned many hardships and difficulties that occur in space, but we also learned about the people in our team. We chose this challenge because it didn't seem too hard, and it also seemed fun, which it was. Our approach was to assign each other jobs, and because we each were good at something we needed to complete this challenge, it wasn't hard to figure out which job each person had. Using this method, we ended up finishing this challenge. I would like to thank my teammates, Jeffery, Ian, Tony, and Lucas, as well as my teacher, Mrs. Russet/Potato.
