High-Level Project Summary
We’ve developed a way of teaching that can bridge the gap between STEM and young students who are intimidated by these disciplines thanks to incorporation of Art and Design.We managed to create an audiovisual prototype with an arts-meets-science approach that uses rhetorical comparisons to simplify the understanding of a NASA Project. By designing data in a didactic way we encourage students to learn about STEM so we can reach innovation faster.

Detailed Project Description
Our team is conformed by two members. My colleague, Celina Arévalo and myself Navia Sunnah, we are both advanced Graphic Design Students at Uncuyo University. Within two days we created this JWST animation in whic we wrote the script, illustrated the idea, animated every element and recorded the narration.
First we sketched by hand, then we did many storyboards, animatic and scrips. We illustrated with Adobe Illustrator, we animated with Adobe After Effects and we edited with Adobe Premiere Pro. For the Project Demo we combined stock footage and our own archive, about the main animation we made it from scratch.
This project is quite beneficial because not only helps encourage young studients into studying STEM, but also it accelerates innovation and that could make a huge impact in our world.
That's how SAGAN was born, alongside our team ALBA. We have a team of specialists in Information Design and Multimedia so in this first case, we summarized the design, process and scientific results of the James Webb Space Telescope Project.
We believe that there is much more information out there that can be reinterpreted to be accessible and inclusive for all. We are going to start by showing our video at Escuela técnica of Universidad de Mendoza, to encourage astronomical interest among its students.
From there, our long term plan is showing it in more institutions and soon be able to produce more content. Although we have income from monetization on YouTube and other advertising, we also need donations or even, subsidies from NASA to cover technological equipment and design, animation, and marketing services.
Our mission is to make STEM disciplines available to young students to accelerate the innovation curve and together improve the quality of life on Earth by looking beyond the stars.
Space Agency Data
The space agency data we used in out project was provided by NASA. The scientific papers helped us understanding the technical aspects of JWST and from then we could reinterpret that data into the animation we designed.
Hackathon Journey
Spaces Apps is an unique experience we've never experienced anything like this. We chose this challenge because we believe Science could be more inclusive and more open for everyone. We developed this project with a art-meets-science aproach. We resolved challenges by reading, learning and more important by trying trying and make mistakes. We want to thank The Mars Society Mendoza for making it possible this event to become true.
