High-Level Project Summary
ENSINARTE is an initiative that aims to bring young students from all over the globe closer to the vast universe of STEM through an artistic perspective. The project intends to apply elements of gamification in a ludic and objective manner using cultural elements in order to further immerse kids from elementary and middle school (specifically 7 to 12 years old) into science. The project consists in a pack of materials that will help the students understand science in a better way. The main product of our program is a quiz based on NASA researches and collected data. There is also a guideline for teachers and a local culture based art material for kids.

Detailed Project Description
The project will consist on an educational program. The main feature of the program will be a quiz based on NASA researches and the particularity is that we will use cultural elements to raise the kids interest in the questions. The other elements in our program will be: a guideline to help teachers using our program and a book that mix cultural elements, like local artistic and musical movements, with science. With enphasys on working in group to estimulate communucation and dedication.
Space Agency Data
The project main inpirations were texts from the resources tab in the callenge page. Many of the texts talk about open sceience e how it needs to be incentivated. NASA's open science initiative and the UNESCO agreement to encourage open science inspired the most. Seeing the history between NASA and art was also delightful. We also plan to use NASA and other partners data and history (missions and acomplishments) to help formulate the questions of our quiz.

Hackathon Journey
My experience at the Space Apps hackaton was a massive learning opportunity. Me and my team faced a lot of challenges that we were not expecting. We learn how to work better together and how to develop things that are not in our comfort zone. At first, we chose other challenge and when we were at our most inspired moment we realized we needed to pivot. Then we found our challenge: Turning STEM into STEAM. The approach we did was mainly about thinking about who should be our public in order to impact the most in the future. We discussed every step of the process to minimize misurdestandings and conflicts. We'd like to thank all the mentors, who were very kind and helpful during all the process.
References
We used data from the NASA space apps challenge, Figma and Figma jam to do a protoype and to organize the ideas, the 5 W's chart, stakeholders map, personas and brainwriting. For the code we used github, VSCode and ReactJS. We also used google forms to validate our idea.
