High-Level Project Summary
Space Missions is a cards game and an artistic approach to include the "A" of Arts into the STEM ecosystem. The game is designed for all audiences in mind, featuring simple game mechanics that encourages critical thinking, out of the box thinking, technical discussion and fomenting creativity. It tackles the "TURNING STEM INTO STEAM" challenge through the use of cutting-edge AI and AR technologies in order to empower women in STEM, even when they couldn't stand up for themselves in their time of history. To conclude, the revenue generated by Space Missions will be donated to social causes aligned to the same x the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOOC) defends.

Detailed Project Description
We have created a card game consisting of two decks. A deck of space mission cards and another of resources. The space mission cards, in addition to having a mission that the player has to carry out, said mission is narrated by a female scientist from NASA, who also explains what her job consists of. The mission cards have an image of the scientific woman, made with artificial intelligence.
The other deck, the resource cards, are drawn to generate a story based on the scientific mission to be carried out. If the story told has a scientific basis and coherence, that round of the game is won.
All the card artworks are generated using multiple custom Stable Diffusion models tuned and generated by the participant team, using the Dreambooth approach, that allows to generate models with user-defined input images.
The cards are then presented in a physical format, and contains QR codes to be used with a smartphone, which either link to public NASA information of the topic in question or, through the use of the Instagram social network, display a resource on the smartphone screen using augmented reality.
This card game aims to publicize science and the work of NASA scientists and reach the target general public of all ages.
Space Agency Data
We have used data from space missions and women in science provided mainly by the official NASA website, such as:

Hackathon Journey
The hackathon has been an incredible experience. We have met many interesting people. We would like to have an opportunity to continue creating this project and to be able to have a complete card game. We think it can be an interesting project and help a lot of people, as well as promote women in science and inspire new generations.
We would like to thank all the hackathon team for all the incredible organization.
