High-Level Project Summary
We discovered that one of the main reasons that people don’t seem to be interested in climate change is because they can’t see in a clear way the effects on our daily’s lives and because of this they don’t learn and don’t act against the effects of climate change. Mainly we aimed to use the FIREX-AQ and other data to show people how they are being affected by climate change. In this way we attract people to educate them about it. After that we noticed that a great part of our target audience don’t like to only observe but to act. So we created a tool like social media, where after receiving information about climate change, people can turn that into action and share with others.

Detailed Project Description
The app WePan cont with 3 main types of functions:
- Information: Weather prediction, news, classes and shorts videos (named Green Tips). These functions have the objective of connecting the information to the cause of climate changes and with the user's daily life to educate him to help the cause and how to treat this in his daily life.
- Social Media: After the user learns about the climate change issue it's the time to put his knowledge in action and, after, share the experience with another user.
- Reward/Rate: We created a mechanism that generates a score to the user when he realizes one of the following actions: rate other posts, make posts and consume educational information. The users get points and are organized in a ranking system. Besides that, the users can win badges as rewards. There are four ways to get a badge: time consuming educational content, points, raking or special events. The badges can be shared in other social medias like Linkedin and Instagram to show that you are making the difference.
With that we pretend to attract people to the climate change topic, educate them and with that reduce the effect.
In the project we used the website miro.com to organize the ideas and make a Mockup of the app.

We as a team would describe it as a unique experience, with lots of mistakes in the way but with a great feeling of realization in the end. We learned a lot about the wildfires and agricultural fires and their impacts on climate changes, besides of a lot of knowledge about all the topic (climate changes). We also improved our team work and planning skills. We were inspired to choose this challenge because we think that people don’t know much about how climate change affects their daily lives. With this line in mind we created our solution to the challenge. We tried to maintain the peace at all times possible,tried to relax our minds and keep cool. We would like to thank our teacher for reaching and convincing us to participate, in the end it was an amazing experience.
