Detailed Project Description
1. Introduction:
welcome to our presentation, we are team PetaCode, and we are very happy to be here, and to present our project to you. so this is our Project Description, which gonna give you an intuition about our project idea, and how it works. so let's get started.
2- About the challenge:
- About the Team:
- Team name: PetaCode
- Team slogan: "no pain, no gain!"
- Team Squad: Yasser Messahli, Ranime Benkerri, Iyad Araba, Mondher Maamri, and Aymen Dennoub
- About the challenge:
- Challenge Chosen: LEARNING THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS
- Project title: "TeleQest"
- Project slogan: "Looking for the ambiguous, and play within it!"
- Main idea: an educative game app
3- Project Description:
- The main idea:
The main idea of our project is to make an educative game app, which is gonna help theplayers to learn more about James Webb Space Telescope, and also to have fun while playing, and to challenge other players to answer Quick questions about the telescope. The game is gonna be a quiz game, but not any quiz game, it's gonna be a quiz game with many play modes, and many features, such as:
- Solo mode: where the player will play:
1) alone, and answer questions about the telescope, in short time, and get points, to rank up. 2
2) with a friend, and answer Quick questions about the telescope, by the principle of "first
click, first answer".
- Online mode: where the player will challenge another one 1v1 to answer a quick questions about the telescope, by the principle of "first click, first answer". and the winner will get points, and rank up.
- Project features: The game is gonna have many features, such as:
- Ranking system: where the players will be ranked according to their points, and the number of questions they answered correctly.
- Badges system: where the players will get badges according to their points, and the number of questions they answered correctly.
- Prices for the ranked players, and big price for the number 1. like being the first one to see the latest JWST image for example.
- Project future:
- James Webb telescope news will appear in the game.
- The project is gonna be available in many languages, such as: French, Arabic, english.
- The project is gonna be available in many countries.
- We are gonna make a website for the project.
- Add NFTs as a prices for to the ranked players.
- A special big price for the number 1 in the game, which is being the first one who will see the latest picture captured by James Webb Space Teescope.
- TeleQest forum to discuss about the telescope and space in general.
- InfoScreen After each question to give more info about the answer.
4- Judging criteria:
Why our idea is:
- Creative: because it treats a new technology (JWST) to our life, and it's best way to learn about it (learning by playing), and the thing that makes the difference is that you'll challenge other players, which pushes you to play again and again.
- Relevance: because it respond exactly to our need (challenge: a game to learn about JWST), and it considered as it's a complete solution. because it respond to the challenge, apart from that, any additional thing is an added value. it's technicaly feasible, even in algeria, or outsid, and of course it's user friendly, because of the simple and colorfull UI.
- Valid: the solution is scientifically valid. It'll do what it sets out to do -why not-, and it can work in the real world, it doesn't need any super power to work!
- Impact: by the game, the players will learn many things about JWST, have new friendes, through the online mode, and TeleQest forums. also because of the added values, the players would have many opportunities to benefit from nasa (eg. being the first one to see the latest picture captured by JWST).
5- Business plan:
The project is gonna be free, but it will gain from:
- Ads
- Premium features
- TQ shop (where the players can buy TQ Currency, to buy stuff in the shop)
